Yes… it’s a beautiful place when the water is calm and the sun is shining … but Lake Superior can get rough with 6’ tall waves crashing all around you and howling winds …. It’s better to stay close to shore in case the weather changes quickly. One day we started out on a clear summer day only to be enveloped in a sudden fog … luckily we had a compass and our phones to guide us home before the wind and waves started.

Wow, that would be scary...out there...suddenly no visibility...yikes!
