Unforgettable experience in Bener Meriah, Aceh

In this post, I will share my experience about traveling to the highlands in my area some time ago. This area is also one of the tourist attractions in my place. by motorbike, I went by road with a friend.

We took a road trip about 2 hours from where I live. This area is also known as the best coffee producing area in Indonesia. Every holiday, this area is always crowded by many local tourists and foreign tourists who come to Bener Meriah.

Previously, this area was closed to visitors due to COVID-19. However, it is now open again. To attract visitors to come back to this tourist area.

The most visited tourist attraction is the natural scenery that is still very natural. And there is also a freshwater lake surrounded by very high hills there.

As usual, I'm always looking for objects to shoot with my camera for my personal collection. Well, when I came to this place, the government was holding the opening of the paragliding sport. And it also aims to attract the attention of visitors in this area.

In my place, this tourist area also has the nickname "COLD CITY". Yes, if we visit this area, we must wear a jacket. Because the air is very cold even during the day.

At that time, my friends and I were interested in testing the flight with the athletes of these sports. However, due to unfavorable weather. So we canceled the test. So we only see athletes doing it.

We can only enjoy it through visual photography. I photographed athletes preparing for paragliding, and also took pictures of athletes testing flying with their parachutes.

At that time, a very strong wind blew above an altitude of 180 masl. We waited almost 3 hours for the athletes to jump in with their parachutes. And in the end they were the only person who could jump in at that time.

After photographing the athletes. My friends and I decided to return home to the inn. Actually we are very disappointed because we can tandem with the athletes. In fact, we really want to be able to join the dive with the athletes. However, due to the unfavorable weather. So we gave up our intention.
