Crab Spiders

Para esta edición del concurso de Macrofotografía traje una minúscula araña cuya forma y color resultan muy atractivos y fotografiables.

For this edition of the Macrophotography contest I brought a tiny spider whose shape and color are very attractive and photographable.

Gracias a Google Lens, que arrojó parecidos casi coincidentes, se trata de una araña del género Misumenoides; que prefieren hacer su casa en flores y sus patas delanteras están estiradas haciéndolas parecer a un cangrejo. De donde toman su nombre: Arañas Cangrejo.

Thanks to Google Lens, which showed almost coincidental similarities, it is a spider of the Misumenoides genus; they prefer to make their home in flowers and their front legs are stretched out making them look like a crab. From there they get their name: Crab Spiders.

Esta tiene colores amarillo con tonos naranjas, su abdomen tiene texturas con puntos y franjas más oscuras, pero no pude definir alguna figura referencial.

This one has yellow colors with orange tones, its abdomen has textures with darker dots and stripes, but I could not define any reference figure.

El tórax y las patas son de un color más ocre tostado, las patas delanteras destacan por su color oscuro y dureza, pues la ayudan a atrapar a sus presas. Esta araña es una activa depredadora de los insectos que osen acercarse a la flor donde vive.

The thorax and legs are a more toasted ochre color, the front legs stand out for their dark color and hardness, as they help it catch its prey. This spider is an active predator of insects that dare to approach the flower where it lives.

Esta la capturé en el jardín, la llevé a mi mesa-estudio fotográfico. Fue un tanto difícil de fotografiar, pues buscaba irse y escapar. Pero pude capturar varias tomas interesantes que la muestran en gran esplendor.

I captured this one in the garden, I took it to my table-photography studio. It was a bit difficult to photograph, as it tried to leave and escape. But I was able to capture several interesting shots that show it in great splendor.
