My entry for CCS Moment Of The Day Challenge - Week 46 "Going to Dialysis"

Going for my dialysis for nearly 23 years now

This moment when I photographed my mother snacking while we wait for my turn for dialysis. "Why are you taking picture of me?" she chuckled.

Nothing couldn't make me more happier than being with my parents as we go for my regular dialysis. One thing is that I am joyful and blessed that my parents are still here in support of me despite that they should just be relaxing at home but due to their loving nature, they could not just let me go and I regard it as a gift from God because in many countries around the world it is not the case where if you had become an adult then you are already responsible for yourself without much help coming from your folks or family even with emotional support in many case. But here in my country we have a tight-knit family values where the center of love and support is for the family first and others second. However not all families are bonded to be tight-knit as individual families in some cases are just being supportive within their family unit. In clans such I have from my mother's side of the family in the southern part of this island where I live, they have a stronger family bond which I hope that I was and my siblings got included because I envy their family bonding relationships over there but being away from their province, we are somewhat got excluded to experience the same.

This particular moment in the photo above reveals my happiness to be going for my dialysis session for the second time this week and of course my blood will get cleaned again which will raise my level of well-being and quality of life. Thanks to my country's government for their full support for the dialysis patients here in my country that our universal health care system is made to shoulder most of the cost of our dialysis treatments more than ever before. That is why I can go for a three times a week dialysis treatments and it made my life more livable to the degree that it alleviated some of my health condition associated of not getting enough dialysis treatments like nausea and feeling full and poisoned all the time. So every trip to and from dialysis clinic now makes me joyful and happy especially being with my parents which gives me emotional support until maybe forever.

There aren't much moments in my life or anything that I can really get me happier excepts those things which are unseen like having lovedones present in my life that truly cares and loves me and then having God in my life. These moments which are either having a memorable time with my family or other people are just temporary but I value them because they are all that I got. Anything in my life now are just a big bonus considering that I am already quite due in overstaying because of my medical condition. But God says that even a sparrow will not fall to the ground if it is not in the will of the Lord God.

But now for as long as I am still breathing alone and living, I will try to cherish every precious moments of my life because although our lifetime or era today is not really that easy anymore, despite that I am physically sick and handicapped in so many ways, despite that it seems that all will go down the hill from this moment on with the global perspective on peace and economy, despite that we are all in risk of experiencing hardships which humanity had never seen and felt from time immemorial, it is still nice to live especially with your lovedones with you and God being present in your life until your better life in heaven with God.
