Macro Photography - Stink bug Acanthocephala terminalis
Acanthocephala terminalis, an insect from the Coreidae family, is one of the most interesting species to observe in tropical climate gardens. This insect has a distinctive body shape with a dark body color, as well as thorn-like protrusions on the back that give it a slightly scary appearance. One of the most prominent features of Acanthocephala terminalis is its antennae which are bright orange at the tips, as if giving a striking touch of color in the middle of its body which tends to be dark.

I found this species in large garden areas, including bushland, where they often forage on grasses and green leaves. Despite their menacing appearance, Acanthocephala terminalis are harmless to humans. They feed on plant fluids by piercing stems or leaves with their pointed mouthparts.

I found this insect by chance while passing by looking around in the garden, I happened to bring a macro lens and it became a photography object. Since the object is a tame insect, I took several poses.
