The Diary Game [June, 3, 2024]: My experience with the latest national strike

Hello dear friends it's really an honor to share my diary game with this lovely community, sure that I said to you it is a very interesting and entertaining one, I hope you enjoy it as you go through. Just like other days I woke up at around 6:00 a.m. to take my bath, brush my teeth and dress up for work, although last night they have been rumors that the Labor congress which is in charge of all labor right and allowance might emerge on an indefinite strike until they are voices being heard by the president of the country.

To be sincere I didn't take this serious because before now search scenarios had occurred but at the end the strike was postponed, in that case I thought this strike might also be postponed for some professional and political reasons which are unknown to me. So with this mindset I dressed and prepared for work hoping that the strike doesn't hold.

After taking breakfast and dressing up for work at around 7:30, I took a transport that was heading towards my work direction. After 45 the minutes drive I finally reached the location of my office, but unfortunately for me the whole office was locked up because of the national wide strike that shut down every industry and economical aspect of the country.

I wasn't so sad because even though I had hopes that work might not be affected by the strike, I was prepared to face anything I see when I reach the office. So why going back home because work won't be active for today, not too far from The office I saw a 🦆 black duck that's just jumped in into a roadside muddy water that was caused by the rainfall and the bad road in the areas. Everyone around was so amazed I wanted to take a picture of it, the first thing that came to my man was that "wow my fellow steemians must see this awesome event"

After watching the awesome view I decided to continue my journey back home, luckily for me I saw a taxi that was heading straight to my direction, so with immediate effect I stopped the taxi and I hopped him. In the car I was just thinking and anticipating the engagement winners of last week and I was hoping I would emerge as one of the lucky one's.

Later in the afternoon I decided to go out to get some foodstuff, for I was very hungry so I decided to prepare lunch. This is because one thing I love so much is my food, I couldn't bear the hunger any longer so I had to make the move. I wanted to take molded garri with okra soup, the average Nigerian calls it "swallow", this is because it is swallowed and not chilled because of its nature and structure.

After some hours I finally finished cooking the food, I was so hungry that I say stoping to take pictures to be a distraction that would delay my launch and I wasn't in good condition to take the delay. After 45 minutes of concentrated cooking my meal was perfectly cooked, I said concentrated because throughout the 45 minutes I didn't leave the kitchen because I wanted it to get cooked perfectly in the fastest way possible 😂 (I was salivating)

The saddest part about the nationwide strike was that the power holding company of Nigeria also went on strike, so therefore that means there will be power outage and the whole country would experience blackout for as long as they strike holds. So at this stage the people who benefits are those who have generators and have enough money to afford fuels to power third generators.

For a young citizen like me who had a generator but it got spoiled and it's now to expensive to fix back, the only option I have to power my phone is to charge it at a charging spot ( a charging spot is a place where individuals or citizens who didn't have access to electricity come to power their electrical appliance like phones and laptops at a fixed price)
