Reality of ISSB
Assalamualaikum!
I hope you all are doing well and happy. As you know in my previous post I discussed about initial process of Armed Forces. Next and the last test is ISSB. As you all know ISSB means Inter Service Select Board. The purpose of Issb is to Select energetic and passionate candidates.
Process
After passing Interview candidates receive an ISSB form and you are bound to submit that form within 2 days after verification.
Following documents are required
. Attested photocopies of all original documents ( result cards and Sanads)
. Attested CNIC photocopy of your parents
. Attested photocopy of your CNIC
. 7 passport size photocopies ( Arrested)
. Postal order of 100
"These documents are attached with Issb form"
After submission of Issb form you receive call letter by Issb in which date of enterance and location is mentioned.
Note: You need following items during your 4 days
. 4 Formal pants and Shirts
. 2 white shorts and white T-shirts
. Two pairs of white sox
. White sport shoes
. Formal Shoes
. Two blue pencils
Tests Conducted During Issb
Issb is 4 days tenure. On your arrival day you are given some forms to fill. After these forms an essay of 400 words is conducted. Then you can go to your rooms.
Dimensions
There are three dimensions in Issb
. Physche Dimension
. GTO Dimension
. Deputy President Dimension
Today we will discuss only Physche Dimension
Physche Day
The next day after arrival day is Physche day. In this test your mental abilities are tested by physcologist. So he conducted following tests
. Mechanical Aptitude test
. Words Association Test
. OPI
. Situation Reaction Test
. Self Assessment Test
. Sentence Completion Test
. Picture Stories
. Pointer Stories
Now we will briefly discuss about these tests.
Mechanical Aptitude test
In this test 50 questions are given and time for this test is 15 minutes. Each question has four options and only one is correct.
Words Association Test
In this test 100 words are given. Each word appear for 10 seconds on the screen. You have to make a sentence within 10 seconds. After 10 seconds the previous word disappear and the new word shows on the screen. In this way you have to make 100 sentences with sequence. The purpose of this test is to test your reflexes.
OPI
It is the test related to your personality. This test is Conducted on computer screen. In this test 150 words are given and time limit is 35 minutes. The purpose of this test is to test your personality.
Situation Reaction Test
In this test 10 situations are given. Time limit for each situation is 3 minutes. You have to solve each situation. The purpose of this test is to examine how you react on different situations.
Self Assessment Test
In this test you have to write your friends view points and your opponent view points. The purpose of this test is to know about what your friends and enemies think about you.
Sentence Completion Test
In this test a set of Urdu word and English words is given. Sentence are incomplete. You have to complete every sentence within 3 minutes. The purpose of this test is to test your mental ability that how you think about different things?
Picture Stories
In this test four pictures appear on screen one by one. After seeing picture you have to make story on that picture. Time limit for each picture is 3 minutes. The purpose of this test is to examine how are you mentally strong.
Pointer Stories
In this test an incomplete story is given. You have to complete it . It depends upon you that in which direction you carry that story.
