How are you friends? I hope you all are doing good by the grace of God and I'm good too. I'm here with another article as participants of the contest that is organised by @steemdoctor1 in this community. On the basis of the tips, I will be describing this article!

What are the health benefits of fasting in Ramadan?

Ramadan is one of the spirituality faith of Islamic people which falls on the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims around the world fast from dawn to dusk. Fasting in Ramadan provide varieties of health benefits beyond its religious beliefs. Some of them are described below:


1.Weight loss❗

First benefits of fasting is weight loss. While fasting we restrictes consumption of calorie rich foods that automatically means loosing of weight.



2.Mind refreshment❗

Fasting in Ramadan have a positive impacts on our brain. It enhance reasonable performance and improve mental health by reducing stress and anxieties and helps in improvements of focus and attention.

3.Boost immune system ❗

During the fasting time, the body experience a detoxification process which eliminates various toxins and improves the body's ability to fight diseases.It also create improvement and reduces the risk of developing chronic diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

Spiritual benefits❗

Spiritual benefits includes development of self-discipline, insight and gratitude. It can also encourages a sense of community and togetherness, as families and friends gather to break their fasts together.


What are some misconcepts regarding the fasting in Ramadan?

I have found a lots of misconcepts regarding the fasting in Ramadan.I will explain some of the misconcepts that are being practised by the Muslim peoples from ancient age during Ramadan. Explanation is bassed on my opinions!

  • They have belief that fasting is just about refrain from food. Fasting should not be just avoiding foods and drinks but It should be includes refrain from sinful works, smoking, Alchols, s*xual relations etc.

  • During Ramadan period water is prohibited from drinking. It is mandatory to stay hydrated during the non-fasting hours.

  • Another wrong concept is lossing weight. Although there is thousands of ways to reduce weight.

  • Fasting is harmful to the health as like Ramadan concept. However, if it is done in a right way then its beneficial too.



Tell us about your favorite Sehar and Iftar recipe

While talking to the Sehri, I personally love to eat a classic breakfast dish like Shakshuka. It is a Middle Eastern dish that is made with eggs boiled in a tomato sauce with variety of ingredients for taste like onions, garlic, and spices like cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper etc. It is usually served with some crusty bread to soak up all the delicious sauce.

Again, while talking to the iftar recipe one of my best recipes is Chickpea and Spinach Stew with Yogurt.I personally preferred it too much. It is perfect for breaking your fast during the iftar. This stew is made with chickpeas, spinach, and a blend of aromatic spices that give it a delicious and warming flavor.



Give some tips to maintain our mental and physical health in Ramadan.

I think my steemit friend have more knowledge about the maintenance of mental and physical health during the time of Ramadan. Although I wanna give you some tips!

  • It is essential to pay attention to what and how we eat to prevent from insatiability and for the promotion of better digestion.

  • Staying hydrated is main work during free periods of Ramadan but drinking plain water is so boring. Therefore, we can give value to the spice things up and make some healthy, refreshing drinks like filled water with mint and lemon, or herbal tea with ginger and honey to be hydrated and energetic for a long time.

  • Fasting is also about disconnecting from distractions and focusing on spirituality.Avoiding social media and technology, especially during the time of the day when we are supposed to be reflecting and praying. It will help to feel more focused and peaceful.

  • Meditation is a great way to connect with spirituality and calm our mind. So, try meditation if possible.

  • Staying active during Ramadan can be challenging, when fasting for long hours.Accomplish creative ways to stay active, like taking a walk after iftar, doing gentle yoga or stretching, or even dancing to your favorite music for the improvement of moods and energy levels.

  • Self care is most necessary during this time so take a relaxing bath, get a massage, or even just spend your time doing something that you prefer.
