Assalamualaikum

Hello bloggers, I am very happy to tell you that today I am going to participate in any quiz for the first time, and before writing more, I sincerely thank my friend @nooruleman, who invited me to participate in it.

Of course, it is my pleasure to participate in this tech-related quiz because my background is also technology-related. Actually, I am a student of software engineering, so let's start the quiz.

What does USB stand for?

Before I tell you about USB, let me tell you that whatever technology devices have been built, it is of no use to us until we are able to communicate these devices with each other.

When they communicate with each other and share their data with each other, then they are valuable to us. There is a need for a medium to communicate between these devices and connect them with each other.
And these connections can be wired or wireless. There may be a way in which we use a wired system to connect two or more devices to each other, for which we need some kind of port that allows one device to connect to another device.

USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. It is a way to connect one device to another device that uses the port, called a USB port. A bus USB is a data transfer way that is also used in computer systems for data transmission in different computer parts and is called a computer buses.

And let me make this clear: USB is just the name of a port. You can use this port anywhere, with any charger. Also with any data cable, with any camera, with any mobile device, and with any computer or laptop, even with storage devices.

But unfortunately, we have a huge number of people who know USB as a storage device. Whenever USB is mentioned to them, they think we are talking about a storage device, but it is not. USB is the name of a port that is used to connect a peripheral device to your computer.

In 1996, the USB port was introduced for the first time as a port to connect peripheral devices to the computer. Before the USB port, there were already different ports on hardware devices to connect them with each other. PS2 was being used to connect a keyboard or mouse to the computer system, and an Ethernet port was being used to connect an internet cable to the computer.

The USB port was introduced as a standard port globally with the purpose of using only one port for connecting devices around the world, and it was the first port to be defined as USB 1.0. And its data transmission speed was almost 1.5 MB per second, which is low.

And later on, with the passage of time, the USB port is being upgraded with 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 USB ports. The most commonly used USB port is the micro USB port, which is mostly used in our smart phones as a charging port to charge phones and connect them to the internet.

The latest USB port is the Type-C USB port that was introduced in 2016, and now it is almost being used in every new release device like smart phones and laptops for charging and data transfer purposes.

How does a smartphone connect to the internet?

First of all, we will talk about the phone device that is used to communicate from one place to another in the world. A smart phone is an advanced form of our simple mobile phones. A mobile device that has a touch screen and provides the facility of digital communication, which is possible only through the internet, is called a smartphone. Or we can say that a mobile phone that can be connected to the internet is called a smartphone.

You have a smart phone, but your phone is not connected to the internet, so it is completely useless to have a smart phone with you. If we are away from the internet, even for a moment, we feel bad. It seems boring.
It made it clear to us how much the smart phone needs the internet, and then there are basically two ways to connect the smartphone to the internet.

The first simple ways that you all know very well. We can connect the smartphone to the internet by connecting to any wifi network by turning on Wi-Fi; for that, we must have a wireless internet facility. We can either turn on the hotspot from another mobile phone, or if we have installed wired internet in our house, by using its router, we can connect our mobile phone to wireless signals.

And the other method is cellular; through a cellular network, our mobiles are already connected, which allows us to make phone calls and send SMS. These cellular services are provided to us by cellular service providers (CSPs) like Jazz, Zong, and Ufone.

Our mobile phone is connected to a relay tower. The tower further connects to another related tower, and thus this connection is established. Actually, if we go into detail, advanced hardware is used inside our phone that processes the digital signals of our phone, i.e., converts them into microwave signals and then determines how much they travel from the microwave to our nearest tower, then links up with the internet, and so on.

When we get the exact web page we requested, that tower also gives us microwave signals, and the hardware tools installed inside our mobile phones convert them into digital signals and show them to us in digital form. which works as a modulator and demodulator monitor, converts digital signals into analog and demodulates analog signals into digital signals, and thus our mobile phones connect to the internet and use this connection. By doing this, we benefit from it.

What is the main function of an email?

Before writing about e-mail, I will tell you something about mail. In fact, mail means a message. And earlier mail was sent in this way through different sources, and those methods were very difficult. Using these methods, it took a lot of time to send the message to the receiver, and sometimes the mail did not even reach the concerned person. And we didn't even know whether the sender's message had been delivered or not.

This problem was solved by an American programmer named Raymond Samuel Tomlinson. And he sent the first e-mail from one computer to another in 1971, so he is also called the father of e-mail, and I think everything you've read above about e-mail has given you an e-mail.

The main function of email is to send a message from one place to another through computer devices. Actually, email's full form is electronic mail, which means that our past simple mail sending and receiving methods were replaced by computers and networks, and this time that mail is called email.

But as technology has progressed, there have been many alternative communication methods to email, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram, all of which are also used for messaging, but email is still considered a professional method.

And that's why e-mail is still being used for sending letters and announcements, but now the use of e-mail has increased in many places, and nowadays e-mail is used for messaging as well as for business promotion. It is also used to create your account on websites and applications, and it is also used for *notifications.

In fact, email gives us a standardized way of communicating, whether in offices or at the government level. But e-mail is used a lot in official affairs, and the global e-mail can be estimated from the fact that around 320 billion e-mails are being sent in a day in the whole world.

We have an idea of the extent to which email is being used, and let me also tell you that email gives us some other features like CC, i.e.,** carbon copy**, and BCC. Blind Carbon Copy also gives the option that if an employee in one office sends an email to another office and he wants a copy of the same email to go to this manager, he can use Carbon Copy to send it to him.

We also get to see the file attachment option in email, in which you can attach a file with a maximum size of** 25 MB** to share globally with anyone.
