Dear diary,
I'm pleased to write to you all my joggles for the day. My day was all packed with engaging activities ranging from starting my morning in church praying and interceding for my society, helping my neighborhood keep up with greener pastures, keeping fit and joining my elder brother in Akwa Ibom State Metropolitan University for his matriculation. As I write to you, I aim at reflecting not just my engagements but moments I loved, moments that got me critical and in all the adventures that spiced up everything.
MORNING HOURS |
---|
I woke up quite early with the mindset of a CHAMPION ready to take on anything challenging for the day. At about 5:30AM, I was already headed for Covenant morning prayers at my church. It's usually an hour of prayers and intercessions. As usual, the morning prayers started by 6AM and were designated to end by 7AM.
At about 7:15AM, I headed for my daily workouts with my team, the majority of whom are Steemians. I've not been working out for some time now due to an injury I sustained but I'm always so motivated during workout sessions with my team. Keeping fit with them makes me stay focused in health, career life, social life and most of all, my goals for life. As we workout via different programs, we Will always take some quick break to engage in political, business, health, and steemit talks. This makes it an all round fitness session
My team
I didn't stay long with my team because I had plans of keeping my environment greener by cutting some grasses on the lawn. I normally enjoy the moment anytime it showcases itself because;
- It reminds me of my responsibility to keep my environment clean and greener
- Play around with the machine
- See my world around greener pastures
- Help the government improve nature
- Help nature in oxygenation process

As I cut the grasses, it gives me a sense of relief and joy knowing I'm part of those around the world creating a comfortable environment for greener ecosystems.
I spent about 2 hours cutting the grasses and when I was done, I smiled at my work.
I took off my regalia, freshened up and had breakfast.
AFTERNOON HOURS |
---|
I just couldn't wait for noon; it was my brother's matriculation at the prestigious polytechnic (Ibom Metropolitan) in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. While we were at the venue, we had fun as we watched my brother being enumerated as one of the University's students. I could see in his eyes how excited he was, an opportunity he had been hunting for quite some time now. Myself and some of our family members were present at the event.
It was such a busy environment as parents and students from all walks of life were gathered. Many businesses strived massively within that hour.
In the heart of the ceremony, the principal of the polytechnic admonished both the new and graduating students. In his message, he shared some insights in becoming successful regardless of your discipline. In his very words, he listed out 3 steps;
you must have a blueprint of your life. Your blueprint should serve as a roadmap for your life. It should point at where you're currently at, where you're going and what is expected at your final destination. He also said your road map should also capture the lives you'll be touching now and in the next 5 years to come. He emphasized on having a name the society will remember when you leave the earth.
You must diligently work out your blueprint. He stressed in his words that having a blueprint alone will never guarantee success but working out every element in your blueprint in a bid to achieve your goal was key.
Lastly, he said you must fear God, the creator of the universe. He reiterated the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. He said without God in your life, you'll amount to nothing regardless of the effort you put in.
His words drew my attention and I went home pondering on those words and because I demanded for a change in my personal life, I took it personally, adopted the path and started working on it with all ego. Trust me, it was time to go home. Around this time at about 4PM, we were all exhausted and needed to catch some rest urgently. So off we went.
EVENING HOURS |
---|
I thought we went home to catch some rest but no. My brother had invited some of his friends to the house to continue the party. We took some chilled drinks and reflected on the nice photos we took in the arena.

In Spite of the busy and noisy environment, I still took out some time to catch some quick rest. By the time I woke up, dinner was served for everyone.
After dinner, I reflected on my day as I sat outside the yard. For me, I felt fulfilled especially because I was able to achieve all my goals. It has really been a while since I outlined targets and met them in full. I felt super excited and I motivated myself to continue in this might.
Happy was the man @Bigsam100
