Un cordial saludo a todos los artistas que día a día muestran sus obras en Draft Crearte en esta oportunidad les traigo una obra de restauración de un candelabro formado por cabillas, esta pieza la encontré en un taller de mecánica, estaba tirada entre muchos cachivaches, al parecer llevaba años allí, lo cierto fue que este candelabro me llamó la atención y le pregunté al mecánico que si me la podía vender, la respuesta fue que me la llevara, es decir, que me la regaló, bueno amigos, hoy decidí restaurar esta interesante pieza para que volviera a ser útil como lo fue en algún tiempo.

Yes friends, I saw this chandelier lying in a corner of a mechanic shop where a friend had his car, the truth was that when I saw this piece among the junk, I decided to ask the mechanic if he wanted to sell it, well, it was worth it ask him why he gave it to me, in fact I really liked this chandelier, I'm sure the person who made it dedicated a lot of effort and affection to it, an effort that others did not know how to value, good friends that's how it happens, but I'm going to recognize the effort of that anonymous person who made it, so I'm going to restore the appearance to this chandelier.

Sí amigos, este candelabro lo vi tirado en un rincón de un taller de mecánica donde un amigo tenia su carro, lo cierto fue que al ver esta pieza entre las chatarras, decidí preguntarle al mecánico si la quería vender, bueno, valió la pena preguntarle porque me la me regaló, en realidad me gustó mucho este candelabro, estoy seguro que la persona que la elaboró le dedicó mucho esfuerzo y cariño, esfuerzo que los demás no supieron valorar, bueno amigos así sucede, pero yo sí voy a reconocer el esfuerzo de esa persona anónima que la hizo, así que voy a recuperar la apariencia de este candelabro.

Chandelier Restoration Process // Proceso de restauración del candelabro

The work consists of cleaning the entire surface of the structure of the chandelier, this includes, removing all the rust and traces of paint with the use of a file and sandpaper, after this, I am going to paint the entire structure with black acrylic paint, then, to give it a wrought iron appearance, I will do a few touches with gold paint, but let's see the step by step.	El trabajo consiste en limpiar toda la superficie de la estructura del candelabro, esto incluye, remover todo el oxido y restos de pintura con el uso de una lima y lijas, después de esto, voy a a pintar toda la estructura con pintura negra acrílica, luego, para darle una apariencia a hierro forjado, le haré unos toque con pintura dorada, pero veamos el paso a paso.

Step-1: The first thing will be to clean the entire iron structure of the chandelier, in the images you can see that the structure is very rusty, so it is necessary to use an iron file and sandpaper to clean the rods well, now I am going to use a damp cloth to ensure that the piece is free of dust or traces of oxides:	Paso-1: Lo primero será limpiar toda la estructura de hierro del candelabro, en las imágenes podrán ver que la estructura esta muy oxidada, por ello es necesario utilizar una lima de hierro y lija para limpiar bien las cabillas, ahora voy a utilizar un paño húmedo para asegurarme que la pieza quede libre de polvo o restos de óxidos:

Step-2: Now I am going to paint the metallic structure of the chandelier, for this I will use glossy black acrylic paint (two coats):	Paso-2: Ahora voy a pintar la estructura metálica del candelabro, para esto utilizaré pintura acrílica de color negro brillante (dos manos), incluyendo la taza de la vela:

Step-3: I have already painted the entire structure of the chandelier, but I want to give it a decorative touch with gold paint, to make the chandelier more attractive, I will do this with a piece of sponge which I placed on the tip of a brush, the gold combined with black give a special touch to the chandelier:	Paso-3: Ya he pintado toda la estructura del candelabro, pero quiero darle un toque decorativo con pintura dorada, para darle más vistosidad al candelabro, esto lo haré con un pedazo de esponja el cual coloqué en la punta de un pincel, el dorado combinado con el negro le dará un toque especial al candelabro:

Step-4: In this step, I will place some gold ribbons on the tips of the candle holder frame and on the top edge of the cup:	Paso-4: En este paso, colocaré unas cintas doradas en las puntas de la estructura del candelabro y en el borde superior de la taza:

As you can see, I have recovered this wonderful chandelier, now it looks great and it will surely occupy a special place in the house. With this work I want to show that we can recover many things or objects that have been mistreated by time and that for some reason we have neglected them, but the important thing is that we still have time to restore their useful life, greetings.	Como han podido ver, he recuperado este maravilloso candelabro, ahora luce muy bien y seguro ocupará un lugar especial en la casa. Con esta obra quiero demostrar que podemos recuperar muchas cosas u objetos que han sido maltratados por el tiempo y porque las hemos descuidados, pero lo importante es que aun estemos a tiempo de devolverle su vida útil, saludos.
