MORINGA OLEIFERA(BINOMIAL NAME)

Moringa Oleifera is a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree of the family, "moringaceae". The tree is a native of India but it's also grows in Asia, Africa and South America.

Moringa plant is often know as the drumstick tree, the miracle tree, the Ben oil tree or horseradish tree. It contains medicinal properties and many healthful conditions. The plant contains vitamins A, vitamin B1(thiamine), vitamin B2(riboflavin), vitamin B3( niacin), B-6, folate and ascorbic acid, calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc.
The plant is extremely low in fats and contains no harmful cholesterol.

Moringa Oleifera plant is used as vegetables and also for traditional herbal medicine. The edible parts of the tree includes moringa leaflets, moringa flowers and moringa seed pods. These parts are used for preparing soups, salad and juice.
