Ravenala 🏝
This Ravenala is a genus of beautiful flowering plants with a single species called Ravenala madagascariensis which is commonly known as the traveller's tree, traveller's palm or East-West palm from the Madagascar.
It’s not a true palm but a member of a the monocotyledonous flowering plant family, Strelitziaceae.
It’s used mainly for building construction, but its other uses have also been noticed which includes food, medicine & tools.
Using Ravenala for house building reduces the pressure on some the forest trees, which contributes to the conservation of the natural forests & slow growing hardwoods.
It’s free to use stock photo at will.

very beautiful plant, the leaves look like banana leaves, yes, I have seen this plant only once and even then only briefly when I took a walk to my distant relatives.
