Golden Rules of Composition - Part II

Hello friends, this the 2nd part of my post 'Golden rules..' that I have compiled to help out Steemians to enhance their photography skills. Just let me know if I missed anything important. In the previous post I discussed about 6 tips/ rules. Here's the remaining-

Aerial Perspective

Aerial Perspective is the effect/ phenomenon where the objects closer to the camera appear more distinct, focused and darker than the objects far. The weather and atmosphere of the place helps create this 'technique'. Aerial perspective is widely used in landscape shots of the mountains, both colored and B &W. Mostly, telephoto lenses are used to produce this effect

Framing or Frame within a frame

Framing is using a foreground object to frame the subject in the photo. The frame should look appropriate related to the subject. It could be a natural or an artificial frame. This technique is also widely used in different types of photography such as portraits, architecture, etc.

Depth OF Field

Depth of Field is the area of acceptable focus in your photo. For portraits always use a Shallow Depth of Field. That can be achieved by a large aperture (lens opening). For landscape photos always use a Deep Depth of Field. That can be achieved with a narrow aperture (lens opening)

Background should not be cluttered

Always avoid cluttering the background unless its required. Keep a clean background so that your subject doesn’t lose focus. In this image below, the background is cluttered and it is not looking good

The below image comparatively has a cleaner and non-cluttered background and is looking pleasant.
