A MONARCH VISITED MY GARDEN / UNA MONARCA VISITÓ MI JARDÍN
With joy and a taste for beauty I took these images of a "Monarch Butterfly", Danaus plexippus Its scientific name in Greek literally means "sleepy transformation". It is a widely distributed species, from Canada to northern Brazil. Twelve species and six subspecies are known to them.
Con alegría y gusto por lo bello le tomé estas imágenes a una “Mariposa Monarca”, Danaus plexippus Su nombre cientìfico en griego significa literalmente "transformación somnolienta". Es una especie ampliamente distribuida, desde Canadá hasta el norte de Brasil. Se les conoce doce especies y seis subespecies.
