The roses and their symbolism

The rose is one of the most popular flowers in the world. It has been cultivated by man since antiquity. The first rose grew in Asian gardens 5,000 years ago. In its wild form, the flower is even older. Celebrated over the centuries, the rose, symbol of lovers, was also present in important and decisive historical events. Fossils of these roses date back 35 million years.

The roses and their symbolism

Yellow roses: they are said to mean love for someone who is dying, or platonic love, or friendship[3]
Blue roses: true eternal love, rare, strong, that never wavers or fades, in some cultures it traditionally means mystery or the quest _ or the achievement of the impossible
White Roses: reverence, secrecy, innocence, purity and peace
Champagne roses: admiration, sympathy
Colored roses in light tones: friendship and solidarity
Colored roses, predominantly red: love, passion and happiness
Pink roses: gratitude, gratitude, the feminine (it often appears to symbolize the uterus in some cultures, as the gynoecium is to Western culture - see pink)
Red roses: passion, love, respect, adoration
Red and yellow roses: happiness
Red and white roses: harmony, unity
Orange roses: enthusiasm and desire
Burgundy red roses: unconscious beauty
Blue roses: trust, reserve, harmony and affection
Green Roses: Hope, Rest of Youth and Balance
Violet roses: calm, self-control, dignity and aristocracy
Black roses: separation, sadness and death
Gray roses: grief, boredom and old age
