Saludos a todos los steemitas que aman el arte y la escritura. Para esta edición 49 aprovecharé que es Semana Santa para traerles a un pintor que se destacó por pintar imágenes religiosas. Se trata de Francisco de Zurbarán:

Este destacado artista nació el 7 de noviembre de 1598 en Fuente de Cantos (Badajoz). A los 15 años se trasladó a Sevilla para recibir clases con el pintor Pedro Díaz de Villanueva.

Su mayor producción artística se dio entre los años 1625 y 1664.

Perteneció al movimiento Barroco, y se destacó por pintar imágenes religiosas.

Falleció el 27 de agosto de 1664 en Madrid, a los 66 años.

A continuación les presentaremos tres de sus obras para que usted escoja la que más los motive a escribir. La primera se llama: "San Serapio" (1628), la segunda, "Martirio de Santiago" (1636-1640) y la tercera "Jesús entre los doctores" (1629)

Greetings to all Steemites who love art and writing. For this 49th edition I will take advantage of the fact that it is Holy Week to bring you a painter who stood out for painting religious images. It is about Francisco de Zurbarán:

This outstanding artist was born on November 7, 1598 in Fuente de Cantos (Badajoz). At the age of 15, he moved to Seville to take classes with the painter Pedro Díaz de Villanueva.

His greatest artistic production occurred between the years 1625 and 1664.

He belonged to the Baroque movement, and stood out for painting religious images.

He died on August 27, 1664 in Madrid, at the age of 66.

Below we will present three of his works so that you can choose the one that most motivates you to write. The first is called: "San Serapio" (1628), the second, "Martyrdom of Santiago" (1636-1640) and the third ***"Jesus among the doctors" *** (1629)
