Esta destacada artista nació el 26 de noviembre de 1822 en Exeter (Inglaterra). Cuando tenía 8 años sus padres decidieron emigrar a los Estados Unidos.

Lylly se casó con Benjamín Rus Spencer, un sastre de Cincinatti. La gente pensó que con el matrimonio Lylly dejaría de pintar. Pero no fue así, pues más bien su esposo decidió abandonar su trabajo para apoyar a su esposa en el hogar. De esta manera, Lylly se encargó de mantener a la familia. Por ello, siempre vivió con carencias económicas. Tuvo 13 hijos, siete alcanzaron la edad adulta.

Sus obras se enfocaban es escenas de género. Murió a los 79 años, el 22 de mayo de 1902, en Nueva York (Estados Unidos).

A continuación les presentaremos tres de sus obras para que usted escoja la que más los motive a escribir. La primera se llama: "Pelando cebollas" (1852), la segunda, "Joven marido. Primera compra" (1854) y la tercera "Leyendo la leyenda" (1852)

This outstanding artist was born on November 26, 1822 in Exeter, England. When he was 8 years old his parents decided to emigrate to the United States.

Lylly married Benjamin Rus Spencer, a Cincinnati tailor. People thought that with the marriage Lylly would stop painting. But it was not like that, because rather her husband left his job to support his wife at home. In this way, Lylly took it upon herself to support the family. Therefore, we always experiment with economic deprivation. He had 13 children, seven reached adulthood.

His works focused on genre scenes. He died at the age of 79, on May 22, 1902, in New York (United States).

Below we will present three of his works so that you can choose the one that most motivates you to write. The first is called: "Peeling onions" (1852), the second, "Young husband. First purchase" (1854) and the third **"Reading the legend" ** (1852)
