RE: Your opinion matters/Week #21/Learning challenges on Steemit
I want to know your thoughts about homework for Steemit Learning Challenge.
Ideally, I would give everyone a separate task, at their request in the comments. For example, a student writes - I have mastered the material and want to start homework. but it is probably difficult to give everyone a separate task, as well as to check them. And it is good if the number of answers is less than ten. But giving everyone the same trouble also has its drawbacks. It might be better to find a middle ground. For example, 4 problems of 2 points each are 8 points, and one individual due to a comment +2=10. I'm thinking about it but haven't decided yet.
Your approach is theoretically appealing, as it allows for flexibility and customization according to each student's level and readiness, which could significantly boost engagement and learning outcomes. However, in practice, implementing individualized tasks and grading each separately could become challenging, especially if there are numerous participants. Tracking and assessing personalized tasks might require more time and effort than anticipated, making it difficult to maintain consistency in feedback and scoring.
To find a middle ground, one solution could be to create a structured homework format with predefined tasks categorized by difficulty level. This way, users can select tasks based on their confidence and skill, while you maintain control over the assignment options, making grading more manageable.
