The magical cure.

Little Clara, just four years old, had been sick for many days. She had a high fever and could not eat or drink anything. Her mother, Sarah, was very worried about her daughter’s sickness. Her husband went away with another woman, leaving Sarah and her daughter alone; therefore, Sarah did not have much money. She had to face every difficulty by herself.

Sarah tried several treatments to cure her daughter. She boiled herbs, tried several herbal drinks, and even wrapped Clara in warm clothing to make her feel better. However, nothing was effective. Clara continued to get worse and remained weak, always resting on her mother's lap. Her cheeks are now pale, and her eyes look sleepy.

One morning their kind neighbor, Mrs. Betty, visited Clara. Mrs. Betty is an old woman who trusts in old myths and tricks.

“Sarah, now you tried different types of medicine, but nothing worked. I have a good trick that my grandmother taught me when I was a child. Let’s try that.

“Oh! What is it, Mrs. Betty? Whatever it is, I will do that to heal my sweet baby right now. Tell me what that is, please," Sarah demanded of Mrs. Betty.

“It is a very simple thing: place a bowl of water under Clara’s bed and put a small silver coin into it. Then say a little prayer. This is an old tradition, but sometimes this might work.

Sarah did not believe this type of myth, but she wanted to cure her adorable infant. Thus, Sarah followed Mrs. Betty's instructions that evening. She placed a silver coin in the bowl of water and kept it under Clara's bed.

She then sat next to the bed and prayed quietly, asking the invisible power to perform a miracle. She had fallen asleep as she was praying.

The next morning Clara woke up smiling and said in her tiny voice, “Mama, I am hungry.” Sarah was surprised to find her daughter's forehead no longer heated. The fever has gone.

Sarah was so happy that tears rolled down her cheeks. She hugged Clara tightly and called Mrs. Betty to thank her for the advice. “I don’t know how it happened, but I am grateful for your kindness,” Sarah said.

From that day, Sarah and Clara have lived happier and more hopeful lives. Every time Sarah met Mrs. Betty, she thanked her for the simple advice that helped her daughter back to health.

¡Holaaa amiga!🤗

I appreciate your continuous support my friend.

Una excelente lección he aprendido de tu relato: Creer en la sanación de las personas no hace daño. Por eso, debemos agotar todos los recursos que tengamos a mano, siempre y cuando podamos salvar a nuestros seres queridos.

Me encantó leerte. Gracias por estar. Un abrazo.

Village people in my country, some people were not cured by medicine, so they have turned to myths like exorcism rites or ancient healing methods. These remedies most of the time work for their illnesses.

En Venezuela también se siguen haciendo esas prácticas de curación. Aunque la medicina científica funciona relativamente bien. Un abrazo.

Agree with you.

Thanks for the support.
