Reading "Perfect Person Perfect Work" - My Personal Lessons

I had stated my #quarantinechallenges blog that my reading exercises would be focused on Spiritual books, business and career. I've started out with C. Douglas Hewlett's "Perfect Person, Perfect Life" being a life giving piece on the person of Jesus Christ, who examples as a distinguished figure on leadership.

"Perfect Person, perfect Life" is a sound Christian doctrinal teaching about Jesus which would clear most erroneous biblical interpretations in recent times. It is important to not that the nomencature "Christians" emerged when the people of Antioch saw that the disciples were teaching like Jesius Christ.

... 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord. 25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch. - Acts 11: 24-26 (KJV)

We ought to understand that the teachings of Christ were just a replciation of his life. He never taught what he was not doing and that life he transferred to the disciples. Thus, we have to come to terms with the truth that being a Christian is not a matter affiliations with a way of worship rather living like Christ did.

Perfect Person, Perfect Work points us to Christ as the model which God has given to the world to follow and live like. See what the scripture says in Hebrews 1: 1-3:

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: (emphasis mine)

From the above, we see that God is today giving us Jesus as message. He is speaking to us through his only begotten SOn - Jesus Christ. This because Christ Jesus is the the express image of God's person. He is the exact representation of God.

Rememeber that in the beginning, God had desired that man would be like Him (God), the reason He created man in His own image (Genesis 1: 26).

In the light of the above, I pray that God would give us the grave to fix our eyes on Jesus as the faultless lamb of God who is the exact repression of God that we may be transformed to his image - Amen.
