Las nuevas tecnologías han derivado una fase de cambios en el sector editorial obligándolo a buscar un lugar en esta nueva realidad . La era digital llegó para quedarse y transformarse cada vez más, el uso de dispositivos móviles, tablets, cambio completamente el modo de acceso a la lectura.
La internet lo ha transformado todo, la lectura o venta de libros ha visto disminuir considerablemente su demanda, el libro en papel disminuye sus ventas de manera gradual, pero los libros tienen un amplio nivel cultural, y ese toque mágico y romántico que si te animas a darle una oportunidad te dejará enganchado.
Con esto no quiero decirte que debemos rechazar la tecnología, al contrario, ella nos ha abierto un universo de posibilidades, pero en la lectura siempre existirá el debate por la elección de los libros físicos o ebook, esta decisión va a depender de cada persona según sean sus gustos o forma de vida, yo siempre seré de los fans del libro impreso, crecí en una casa llena de libros, que me llevo a conocer el mundo antes de llegar allí físicamente, esto te ayuda indudablemente a prepararte para la vida. Hubiera sido imposible haber adquirido el conocimiento en ese entonces si no fuera a través de un libro.
Sin duda alguna ambos tienen ventajas y desventajas, por ejemplo los libros físicos casi siempre son más costosos mientras que los electrónicos muchas veces puedes conseguirlos gratis, y así muchas otras características entre uno y otro.
En mi infancia viví en un pueblo donde no contábamos aún con internet, de hecho no es que hoy en día todos tengan acceso, sin embargo, un libro podría llegar a cualquier rincón pasando de mano en mano o de viaje en viaje, y eso te daba la posibilidad de aprender nuevas cosas cada día. En internet puedes encontrar infinidades de escritos aún sin respetar la ortografía o la veracidad de lo que se escribe, en el caso de los libros es casi imposible que esto suceda.
Existe aún, una población amante de los libros, esos que no permitirán dejar de leer una obra literaria en físico, tocar sus hojas, ese olor tan peculiar que destilan, para leer a través de una pantalla. El libro en papel goza de larga vida, se transmite de generación en generación.
Tener un libro en la manos es una sensación especial y encantadora, leerlo te lleva a adentrarte en ese mundo que expresa el autor en cada una de sus páginas. Un libro puede relajarte y olvidarte del estrés del trabajo y la vida cotidiana, por un libro puedes llenarte de aprendizajes, viajar a través de él, instruirte y disfrutar de las bondades que estos poseen a nivel de concentración y memoria.
Hoy 23 de abril se conmemora a nivel mundial el Día Internacional del libro, dicho propósito no es más que fomentar la lectura, la propiedad intelectual, la industria editorial, se celebra desde 1988, ha sido promovido por la Unesco. Esta fecha busca rendir homenaje a los libros y sus autores.
Hoy doy gracias a todos esos grandes que nos han permitido deleitarnos con sus grandes obras, esas grandes historias que nos han enseñado hasta a aprender a expresarnos correctamente, a escribir sin errores ortográficos, a disfrutar de historias increíbles y a escaparnos por un instante de la realidad.
