MINISTERING THE LIFE OF THE OTHER

in HeartChurch4 years ago (edited)

Each one according to the gift he has received, minister it to others, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1st Peter 4.10

Each minister in the sight of others.

The Bible records the things that Jesus began to “do and teach” (Acts 1.1) and did so in the sight of his disciples. The order is to first "do" (show with your example) and then teach, which we invest with poor results. We teach a lot and see very few members do, but we can awaken the desire to participate in them if they first “see” how we do it. The simple principle could be like this: "We must live in full view of the people we want to teach."

Jesus had a private life of devotion to God that his disciples could occasionally see. Luke 11.1
He formed disciples in a fixed and predetermined way (Mark 3: 13,14 and 19) in the sight of other disciples.
He shared the gospel in view of his disciples and developed a small group of people with a sense of team and family in view of his disciples.

That is why each one must lift and minister to the other, if one falls the other raises him, because this was the example that Christ left us, serving in love with brotherhood.

What would have happened to the life of Peter the Apostle, if he had been rejected after he denied Jesus three times? What would have become of the life of Paul, Saul at that time, after having cruelly persecuted the nascent Christian church? Would Jonah have gone to Nineveh to preach a message of repentance, if God had rejected him after he disobeyed the first time he was called to that work? To make it more personal: Would we be where we are today if God had rejected us after we had somehow fallen?

Whether we want to admit or not, we all have our past and only by God's grace and mercy have we been not only forgiven but given a second chance for service.

What should we do when we see that a brother in faith falls into sin?

Primero, no debemos quedarnos callados.

Quinto, no debemos chismear.
Saludos y muchas bendiciones.
