Frequently the Scriptures are used as a metaphor for food. This is on purpose since food is a vital human requirement. The comparison to food is to enunciate the vitality of Scriptures to spiritual health; food is to the body what the Word is to the soul. Without the Scriptures, the soul lacks spiritual health and vitality. It is therefore not strange the Lord at various times commanded John, Ezekiel and Jeremiah to ‘eat’ the Word!

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it”. Revelation 10:9 (NIV)

Your words were found, and I ate them, and your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart….. Jeremiah 15:16

Child of God, you necessarily must ‘eat’ the Bible for your manifestation to be robust and productive. Keen Bible study is basis of coming into the possession of the ultimate Word-weapon, to surmount every of life’s challenges.

How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh let me not wander from your commandments! You must be fully formed by the words of God that you have inwardly digested and absorbed into spiritual system. Feed your inner man with spiritual manna and watch your living come alive with the blaze of REVELATION.
