MEETING EBERE MY OLD FRIEND.

I am still 116Km away from my city of residence for 3 days now.

Today I met EBERE an old Christian friend of mine.

We met in our teen years doing bible study in Scripture Union camp meeting . How time flies.

EBERE is very good at musical instruments. We sang some old songs together. You understand how fun it is to meet an old and lovely pal.

Good enough we are still holding forth. 50 years have gone by. Grace still keeps us.

How God blessed us with godly children and great wives. It is the Lord's doing. We talked about the TEAM of our evangelism in those days as we matched from one village to another.
John 3:16 and Mark 1:15.

John 3:16 (NIV)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Mark 1:15 (NIV)

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Not the gospel of condemnation. You know we knew not much of the scriptures then. Even the songs we sang then were evangelistic. Hope you understand what I mean. You sing just few songs and the Holy Spirit will use the message in the songs and convict the hearers. You can see tears running down the chicks of some, and coming out in numbers for alter call. We knew nothing about high sounding theological language. Just a simple Jesus loves 😍 you message coupled with a burning desire to make disciples for the master. That's all.

The Hunger to win souls for the kingdom was extra ordinary. 1 Corinthians 9:16 - ......."woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel"This is compelling.

We remembered also an old song that meant so much to us. "MUST I GO AN EMPTY HANDED, NOT ONE SOUL WITH WHICH TO GREET OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR".

It was not all about staging big Crusades. It was about personal evangelism and followup.

It is like we are sleeping these days with our bibles closed. Abba father help us, we pray thee!

Just want to get you and I waken up from sleep to pray the prayer of JOHN KNOX of Scotland, "Give me Scotland or I die". This can only be the prayer from a heart burning with Desire to depopulate Hell to populate Heaven.

• The field is ripped but laborers are few. Lord send us workers and send us revival too again.
