WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE THROUGH

Often time when you think you are through; suffice you to know that you may not really be true. The times and seasons are in the hands of God; it’s yours to believe and it’s His to perform. The performing ability of the God of all might does not answer to your timing, it answers to God’s appointed time. With all the prayers you have offered and everything said and done; you may gladly seek to announce that you are through, but it may turn out not to be the truth. The book of Hebrews 10:36 reiterates that patience is needed after you have done all that God would have you do concerning any particular matter; because, the response you so desire from God may not be automatic: “Ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise”.
The aspect of waiting any further, especially after you think you are through, is often time unpalatable. It sometimes looks like a bitter pill which we find difficult to swallow and many often time seek all manner of short cuts for themselves. These short cuts men seek for themselves turn around to complicate their situation and in place of the short cut they seek, they are cut short and it becomes worse than when they first began. When Abraham and Sarah evolved the plan of having a child through Hagar – Sara’s maid, in a short cut to God’s appointed blessing, they felt they were through especially when Ishmael was born.
It however turned out not to be the truth; because, God still went ahead with His promise and brought forth Isaac through Sarah. The birth of Ishmael simply brought crisis to Abraham’s household and it remains today a thorn in the flesh of humanity. You have so much in the hands of God to determine, that you cannot afford to align yourself with the hasty inclinations of your mind or the swift procedures for solution propounded by any spiritual group or organization.
