Our Freedom Is In Christ Jesus
Romans 8:1-4 (NIV)
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."
Beloved, Christ came because of us. He came purposely to set us free and really He has done it. Therefore there is no need to think of secured whether we are here or not. Unless maybe we do not live in him or our faith has diverted to some place. The Bible categorically states that "as many who accepted him, who believed in his name, He gave them authority to be the sons of God" (John 1:12). This shows that those people who live their lives in Christ Jesus are not condemned, but have freedom to live. We are not under any law of the wicked who intends to cause us to follow him and take advantage to suppress us because our Spirit and the Spirit of Christ confirm that we are the sons of God.
What is therefore having "freedom in Christ?" Freedom in Christ Jesus is having hopes and reliability in Christ that whether we are here or Heaven we have Salvation to live in its fullness. Though we might experience some physical challenges with the unbelievers, but as far as we have Christ Jesus in him that we embed our hope, we still have freedom. Freedom in Christ can also mean that having been saved from sin, sickness, poverty, accident, demons, persecution and finally having assurance of going to Heaven when Jesus Christ descend on Earth. Beloved, when we have life to live, walk, breath and attend our normal work, it's some of the freedom we enjoy in Jesus Christ. Freedom in Christ is having peace and unity in your homes, society, work place and everywhere you find yourself. It is obvious that those people who really live in Christ find it difficult to quarrel. Anything which will cause misunderstanding or conflict, they consider Christ first in life, and therefore quickly quit if it will lead to fight.
Life in Christ Jesus mean love for ourselves. The last work that Jesus Christ left for us when leaving us for Heaven. That we should love thou neighbor as thyself. When we live in love, we always seek redemption among ourselves. In sins we must redeem for one another. In sickness we must redeem for one another. In problem we must redeem for ourselves.
1 John 4:7 (NIV)
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."
If you love you always keep free mind with your neighbors. As Apostle Paul said, love is not envy, it always strive to seek what will benefit others too. Love bring happiness, and for that matter those who keep happiness have freedom living.
