Reciban un cordial Saludo de mi parte y a su vez desearles que tenga un Feliz día a todas las personas que hacen vida en esta comunidad, en esta oportunidad le escribo para traer la buena nueva que Dios nos tiene a cada uno de nosotros el día de hoy, como lo es ver nuevamente la brillantes del sol y permitirnos nuevamente tener un día más de experiencia en esta agitada vida.

En aquel tiempo, Jesús y sus discípulos se dirigieron a los poblados de Cesarea de Filipo. Por el camino les hizo esta pregunta: "¿Quién dice la gente que soy yo?" Ellos le contestaron: "Algunos dicen que eres Juan el Bautista; otros, que Elías; y otros, que alguno de los profetas". Entonces él les preguntó:
"Y ustedes, ¿quién dicen que soy yo?" Pedro le respondió: "Tú eres el Mesías". Y él les ordenó que no se lo dijeran a nadie. Luego se puso a explicarles que era necesario que el Hijo del hombre padeciera mucho, que fuera rechazado por los ancianos, los sumos sacerdotes y los escribas, que fuera entregado a la muerte y resucitara al tercer día.

Todo esto lo dijo con entera claridad. Entonces Pedro se lo llevó aparte y trataba de disuadirlo. Jesús se volvió, y mirando a sus discípulos, reprendió a Pedro con estas palabras: "¡Apártate de mí, Satanás! Porque tú no juzgas según Dios, sino según los hombres". Palabra del Señor.

Un tema muy apreciado por Santiago como elemento de verdadera «religiosidad», es lo que hoy solemos entender como: opción preferencial por los pobres. Quienes dicen seguir al Resucitado, han de esforzarse por vivir amando, tratando de no juzgar a la ligera y no dejándose guiar por las simples apariencias.

Dios ha querido elegir lo pobre y lo pequeño. Y esa elección establece un camino para todos: pobres y ricos. Nadie ha de apegarse exageradamente a los bienes de la tierra, ya que todos estamos llamados a ser «pobres de espíritu» (Mt 5, 3). Con este pasaje llegamos a un verdadero parteaguas en el evangelio de San Marcos. Con la profesión de fe de Pedro culmina la previa autorevelación de la persona y de la misión de Jesús.

Y aquí se introduce el tema del «Mesías sufriente» que –aunque no deje de causarnos escándalo– habrá de verse realizado en la pasión, muerte y resurrección del Señor. Esta comprometedora interrogante del Señor sigue abierta, esperando la correspondiente respuesta de cada uno de nosotros. Pregunta central, que compromete la razón misma de nuestra existencia.

Receive a cordial greeting from me and in turn wish you a happy day to all the people who make life in this community, this time I am writing to bring the good news that God has for each of us today , as it is to see the brightness of the sun again and allow ourselves to have another day of experience in this hectic life.

At that time, Jesus and his disciples went to the towns of Caesarea Philippi. Along the way he asked them this question: "Who do people say I am?" They answered him: "Some say that you are John the Baptist; others, that Elijah; and others, that one of the prophets". So he asked them: "And you, who do you say I am?" Peter replied: "You are the Messiah." And he ordered them not to tell anyone. Then he began to explain to them that it was necessary for the Son of man to suffer much, that he be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the scribes, that he be handed over to death and rise again on the third day.

All this he said with complete clarity. Then Pedro took him aside and tried to dissuade him. Jesus turned, and looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter with these words: "Get away from me, Satan! For you do not judge according to God, but according to men." Lord's word.

A theme highly appreciated by Santiago as an element of true "religiosity" is what we usually understand today as: preferential option for the poor. Those who claim to follow the Risen One must strive to live loving, trying not to judge lightly and not letting themselves be guided by simple appearances.

God wanted to choose the poor and the small. And that choice sets a path for everyone: rich and poor. No one should be excessively attached to the goods of the earth, since we are all called to be "poor in spirit" (Mt 5, 3). With this passage we come to a true watershed in the Gospel of Saint Mark. Peter's profession of faith culminates the previous self-revelation of the person and mission of Jesus.

And here the theme of the “suffering Messiah” is introduced, which – although it does not cease to cause us scandal – will have to be realized in the passion, death and resurrection of the Lord. This compromising question from the Lord remains open, awaiting the corresponding response from each one of us. Central question, which involves the very reason for our existence.
