Reciban un cordial Saludo de mi parte y a su vez desearles que tenga un Feliz día a todas las personas que hacen vida en esta comunidad, en esta oportunidad le escribo para traer la buena nueva que Dios nos tiene a cada uno de nosotros el día de hoy, como lo es ver nuevamente la brillantes del sol y permitirnos nuevamente tener un día más de experiencia en esta agitada vida.

Jesús mismo había declarado que a ningún profeta se le honra en su propia patria. Cuando llegó, los galileos lo recibieron bien, porque habían visto todo lo que él había hecho en Jerusalén durante la fiesta, pues también ellos habían estado allí.

Volvió entonces a Cana de Galilea, donde había convertido el agua en vino. Había allí un funcionario real, que tenía un hijo enfermo en Cafarnaúm. Al oír éste que Jesús había venido de Judea a Galilea, fue a verlo y le rogó que fuera a curar a su hijo, que se estaba muriendo. Jesús le dijo:

“Si no ven ustedes señales y prodigios, no creen”. Pero el funcionario del rey insistió: “Señor, ven antes de que mi muchachito muera”. Jesús le contestó: “Vete, tu hijo ya está sano”. Aquel hombre creyó en la palabra de Jesús y se puso en camino. Cuando iba llegando, sus criados le salieron al encuentro para decirle que su hijo ya estaba sano.

Él les preguntó a qué hora había empezado la mejoría. Le contestaron: “Ayer, a la una de la tarde, se le quitó la fiebre”. El padre reconoció que a esa misma hora Jesús le había dicho:
‘Tu hijo ya está sano’, y creyó con todos los de su casa. Esta fue la segunda señal milagrosa que hizo Jesús al volver de Judea a Galilea. Palabra del Señor.

REFLEXIÓN: • Al pueblo, vuelto por fin a la patria después del exilio –y que se apresta ahora a reconstruir la ciudad y el templo– el profeta Isaías le describe la situación futura que Dios mismo ofrecerá un día a sus fieles. Los anhelados tiempos mesiánicos quedan muy bien descritos con la afortunada expresión: «cielos nuevos y tierra nueva». Los detalles que describen esta nueva y privilegiada situación han de entenderse dentro de un motivo común: la alegría. Los sufrimientos pasados serán ya sólo, y afortunadamente, un lejano recuerdo.

El oráculo de Isaías sólo tendrá cabal cumplimiento con la llegada del Mesías, gracias –sobre todo– a su poder sobre la enfermedad y la muerte. La súplica que un funcionario real de Cafarnaún hace a Jesús pidiéndole la curación de su hijo, gravemente enfermo, “arranca” el milagro de una curación a distancia por el poder de Cristo, que se encuentra en Cana de Galilea, donde antes había convertido el agua en vino. Jesús se manifiesta en este episodio como la «vida» en persona, tema que el evangelista San Juan desarrollará con gran profundidad más adelante.

Jesus himself had declared that no prophet is honored in his own country. When he arrived, the Galileans received him well, because they had seen everything he had done in Jerusalem during the festival, since they had also been there.

He then returned to Cana of Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. There was a royal official there, who had a sick son in Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to see him and begged him to go heal his son, who was dying. Jesus told him:

"If you don't see signs and wonders, you don't believe." But the king's official insisted: "Lord, come before my little boy dies." Jesus replied: “Go, your son is healed”. That man believed in the word of Jesus and set out on his way. When he was arriving, his servants came out to meet him to tell him that his son was already healthy.

He asked them what time the improvement had started. They answered him: "Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, his fever went away." The father recognized that at that same time Jesus had told him: 'Your son is already healthy', and he believed with everyone in his house. This was the second miraculous sign Jesus did on his return from Judea to Galilee. Lord's word.

REFLECTION: • To the people, finally returned to their homeland after exile –and now preparing to rebuild the city and the temple– the prophet Isaiah describes the future situation that God himself will one day offer his faithful. The long-awaited messianic times are very well described with the apt expression: “new heavens and new earth”. The details that describe this new and privileged situation must be understood within a common motif: joy. Past sufferings will now be only, and fortunately, a distant memory.

Isaiah's oracle will only be fully fulfilled with the arrival of the Messiah, thanks – above all – to his power over illness and death. The plea that a royal official from Capernaum makes to Jesus asking for the healing of his seriously ill son, "starts" the miracle of a distant healing by the power of Christ, who is in Cana of Galilee, where he had previously converted the water into wine Jesus manifests himself in this episode as "life" in person, a theme that the evangelist Saint John will develop in great depth later on.
