My Shepherd
Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The Shepherd is a strong personality to which the sheep listens. He is also softhearted, kind, accommodating and protecting.
The Lord Jesus is our Shepherd by these and more qualifications. It's amazing to understand that Jesus is the only Shepherd that laid down His life for His sheep(humans).
We are the sheep of His pasture (Psalms 100:3). We are His responsibility, that's why we are at the advantage.
The Shepherd provides all the needs for the sheep to be comfortable. In fact, the Shepherd knows when the sheep is hungry, tasty or threatened by an impending danger.
Thus, we are not to live in wants because we have Jesus, the selfless, kind, saving Shepherd of our lives. He doesn't sleep nor slumber like other shepherds.
He's gentle, faithful and truthful. He's strong and mighty. By His power He destroys our enemy, giving us all-round victory.
Don't panic over lack or any difficulties. Master Jesus, the true Shepherd is fully in charge.
Jesus is the Shepherd to those who abide in Him. The Shepherd can't take absolute care of the sheep that choose to follow another.
Who's your Shepherd? If Jesus is not your Shepherd, please come to Him immediately. Life is not worth living without His covering.
Let's pray together.
Dear Lord, thank you for choosing us as your responsibility. Please help us to abide in you forever, in Jesus name. Amen.
