HE STILL LOVES YOU

We live in a generation where our love for one another is conditional, hence we list things we love about them. I have come to realized that we love those that are nice and good to us more than those who are not too nice to us.

Coming to the Christian circle, many treat those baby Christians and those who are not serious with God with disdain. They don’t regard them when it comes to spiritual matters, thereby has refused to show love to them because of their status.

Mos times people tend to love people that they benefit from; they talk good about them because of what they usually get.

God created and loved us with passion in His heart. That was why He had communion with the man He created out of His exceeding love. Despite the love He had for man, He gave man principles to abide by, so that the relationship He has established with man will be sustained. It is sad to note that, just like Adam and Eve, many are breaking these principles and moving astray into a deeper level of bondage called sin.

Sin has so entangled us to the extent many don’t feel remorse when they commit sin. Today many take fornication as catching fun, stealing as a game, adultery as a physical exercise; today abortion is normal and legalized in many nations.

Sin has become the order of the day. Anger, jealousy, pride, envy and malice is a part of life. Even the church of God is experiencing lots of casualties because the presence and power of sin dominate the church. Where can we go, when seduction is in the church?

Luke 15:11-24

11: And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13: And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14: And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15: And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16: And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17: And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18: I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19: And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20: And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21: And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22: But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Many Christians are deep into sin, so much so that it takes God’s grace to let them free. The prodigal son felt he is matured now enough not to take instructions from his father. Where you are now was as a result of neglecting God’s word and principles. Adam and Eve left the garden because of neglecting God’s instructions.

The story of the prodigal son is known by all and sundry but many are still in sin because they are not yet tired with sin and where they are. The prodigal son came to himself and had a change of mind. He came back home and here is the crux of the message.

In that while he strayed and got lost in sin, the father still loved him. The fathers love didn’t change when he derailed from His presence.
Isn’t it amazing how loving God is that when we come back to Him, He forgives us and accept us back?

That is possible because even in our sins, he loved us. In that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The devil has discouraged many that wants to make up their mind for God that God don’t love them anymore.

God still loves and cares about you. He wants to change your garment, into a garment of righteousness, and give you a seal of sonship (the ring) and prepare your feet with his word, but for this to happen, you’ve to.

  1. Come back to yourself. There is no gain in the world. Haven’t you spend time enough? The prodigal son came to himself and..
  1. Take action: it’s not just been remorse and sorry that matters, take an action and come back home. The deliverance of your soul will be confirm if you take action.
  1. Am guilty: with your confession comes your freedom. The prodigal son said he is sorry. He is guilty. The problem is that many have not accepted the fact that they are guilty. They still argue with God.

Just surrender, because God still loves you. He is looking and waiting for you to come home. Heaven will rejoice when you return home. . But it is up to you to decide. No matter who you are and what you have done, come back to God for He still loves you.
