In family conflicts it always happens that each person shows what his personality really is. When you get into fights in your family, you show what is inside you.

Abraham realized that his possessions had increased in value and so had those of his nephew Lot. However, Abraham realized that the shepherds of his nephew Lot's flocks began to have conflicts with their shepherds. This led Abraham to make a very wise decision without having to harm his nephew Lot. Abraham said to his nephew, "Let there be no strife now between the two of us, between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are brothers."

Abraham put before Lot the importance of the family relationship. Abraham recognized that for him the important thing was his nephew, that is, for Abraham the first thing is his family.

If we value our family, then we will avoid quarrels between brothers. Abraham preferred the peace of his family to conflicts.

If we give more importance to the differences than to the positive things in the family nucleus, then there will never be a lack of quarrels between brothers.

Harmony and family unity should be above any disagreement. Abraham preferred to separate from his nephew Lot, but in an atmosphere of peace and harmony. Differences may occur between family members, however, we must have the capacity for tolerance and know how to live with the differences that may exist between siblings.

The Lord commands us to be at peace with all men, as long as it depends on us to be at peace with them. Otherwise, act as Abraham did with Lot, they separated in an atmosphere of peace and cordiality.
