HIS HANDS ARE NOT TOO SHORT TO SAVE
Have you ever witnessed how a lifesaver saves a man drowning in a river? He exacts all effort to reach out to the victim with his hands. Both of them keep struggling to get their hands in touch.
Some have found themselves wallowing in sin, they now go back to what they once renounce and detest. The scenario of a lifesaver and the victim can be likened to how God has been trying to reach out to us, but the only difference is that our God is not limited, He can save and there is no struggle with Him.
The problem is not God, but us. God is always available to reach out to us.
Are we willing to reach out to Him? Isaiah 59:1 says “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear” (NIV).
When we call on Him for restoration, He is willing to restore us. He can only help us as much as we are willing to be helped.
Stop trying to save yourself from that addiction, you will keep struggling and go deeper in sin.
You will begin to work out the flesh when you depend on your strength.
God’s grace is available in Christ Jesus to save and restore. He is your lifesaver!
You are not called to live a life of condemnation, but a life of reconciliation.
Hebrews 4:15–16
“For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]” [AMP]
ACTION POINT
Don’t you think it’s high time you cried to God in prayer? Tell him those things you no longer want in your life. Don’t stop there, you must be willing to let go.
PRAYER
Lord, my strength has failed me. Restore me with your outstretched arm.
