IDOLATRY
Many people think that being idolaters is about worshiping an image of a doll or statue made of wax. But the reality is very different, idolatry is everything that takes away the first place from God, within the first places we have money, family, friends, car, house, etc.
**Leviticus 26: **
You shall not make yourselves idols, neither shall you lift up a carved image or {holy} pillars, nor put an engraved stone on your earth to bow before it; for I am the LORD your God.

The nations of the world have worshiped images since ancient times.
For this reason, God exhorted the people of Israel to stay away from this terrible sin.
Deuteronomy 5: 8-9
8 You shall not make a sculpture for yourself, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth.
9 You shall not bow to them or serve them; For I am Jehovah your God, strong, jealous, who visited the wickedness of parents over children, up to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.
What happens is that we spend our whole lives chasing the material and what happens finally is that we never get enough, we never find the satisfaction we are looking for and the worst: we never focus on the eternal issues of life. hard stage that we are going through with the covid-19, inequality and economic recession we must return to the first commandment to love God with all our hearts, only then will we reach the fullness of life.
