You make me rest in green pastures,
and to quench my thirst
you lead me to still waters. Psalm 23:2
El salmista refiere en este versículo, que el pastoreo de Dios sobre nuestras vidas, nos ofrece un lugar confortable y seguro donde podemos hallar alimento que sustenta.
The word "pasture" in this psalm translates to a home, house, dwelling, that is, a place prepared with everything necessary to feed, rest and be protected, safe.
La palabra "pastos" en este salmo traduce a un hogar, casa, habitación, es decir, un lugar preparado con todo lo necesario para alimentar, descansar y estar protegidos, seguros.
God promises food in the physical that satisfies my body and also the spiritual food that is in His Word, and that satisfies the soul and the spirit, both foods in my life produce tranquility and rest, this only comes from God.
Dios promete alimento en lo físico que sacia mi cuerpo y también el alimento espiritual que está en Su Palabra, y que sacia el alma y el espíritu, ambos alimentos en mi vida producen tranquilidad y descanso, esto solo viene de Dios.
He will shepherd me beside still waters, sheep are fearful, skittish and the noise of rushing water, with strong currents, frightens them. Letting ourselves be shepherded offers to take us to places of peace, tranquility and security where we can listen to God's voice and direction.
Junto a aguas de reposo me pastoreará las ovejas son temerosas, asustadizas y el ruido de las aguas acaudaladas, con corrientes fuertes la asustan. El dejarnos pastorear nos ofrece llevarnos a lugares de paz, tranquilidad, seguridad donde podamos escuchar la voz de Dios y su dirección.
Today the world walks on the shores of turbulent waters, despair, disease, pandemic, deaths, uncertainty of when the chaos of health in the world will end, everyone is restless looking for how to sustain their families. God tells us not to be intimidated by these currents of despair and unrest, do not let the crisis steal our peace, God keeps his promises and will take us to times of peace and rest, we just have to trust in Him.
Hoy el mundo camina a orillas de aguas turbulentas, desesperación, enfermedad, pandemia, muertes, incertidumbre de cuándo terminará el caos de salud en el mundo, todos están inquietos buscando cómo sustentar a sus familias. Dios nos dice que no nos dejemos amedrentar por estas corrientes de desesperación y de intranquilidad, no dejemos que la crisis nos robe la paz, Dios cumple sus promesas y nos llevará a tiempos de paz y de descanso solo debemos confiar en El.
I conclude with this Word of God to you, in Psalm 42:5 Why must I be so distressed and suffer so much?
and suffer so much?
Trust in God.
