DESTINY DESTROYING CHARACTER PART 3– THE LIFE OF KING PHARAOH

in HeartChurch3 years ago

A life without a bearing, is a life without a meaning!

When men began to populate the earth, emigration and immigration became a status quo amongst men. It happened that these movement of men from one part of residence to another also affected the children of Israel. But in most cases, they tend to be better moved in times of famine.

Just to make a quick move to our focus for the day, it is recorded in the bible that a certain time of famine made the children of Israel to run to Egypt for survival, where they finally found their sold-out brother who’s now (if I may use my own word) the minister of food affairs in Egypt.

They were taken good care of in the land of Egypt because their brother was the second in command after Pharaoh who was also aware of them.

Time began to roll away. The bible clearly recorded that, that generation finally passed away and 8 “Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.” and that became the beginning of sorrow in Goshen where the children of Israel stayed.

God heard the cries of the Israelites and sent his servant Moses to deliver them. And when Moses approached King Pharaoh at the very first instance, this destiny shattering character pride began to be at play, and the bible recorded it this way. 2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?... Exodus 5:2

Life has several ways of humbling a man! Even if God doesn’t take any action, sometimes, nature may react in response to its predefined variables of “what goes around comes around.”

But in the case of Pharaoh, God decided to help harden his heart and caused him to be humbled with several horror and terror in power and might – Pharaoh finally let them go in rage.

But just right after the children of Israel left the land, that 5it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us? Exodus 14:5

Then, this same Pride began to come to play as pointed in part 1 and part 2 of my post on this series. Pharaoh began to regret that he had let them go. So, he and his people began to chase after the Israelite just to be finally destroyed in the Red Sea.

As I put this series to an end, I’ll advice you to watch your behaviors. Try your best to stay away from pride and you'll begin to go far through the helping hand of Jehovah.

May the Lord help us all!

Thanks for reading.
