Hi lhorgic, the STEEM blockchain has many benefits and I think it's great that it has a DApp like Steemit, which allows standard people, like me, to join the world of cryptocurrencies through a blog, plus you can generate rewards, without any monetary investment, so it's not scary to try, plus we learn new and interesting things like html language.
