According to a 2016 article, the app store reveals that it approximately adds about 1000 apps a day and the google store play states 1300 apps a day. Application designs are brought up everyday randomly most of which are centralized, some popular examples are your twitter, facebook, whatsapp etc. with the introduction of the blockchain network, it has been implemented in apps just like crypto currency’s you’re used to and here its not controlled by any single server but just a decentralized network so what are centralized and decentralized apps

Centralized applications are one of the most common applications seen around, everyone is used to it as its based on one command center. Every users data is centrally owned and controlled by the company due to this, there are limitations to how you can use these apps freely,examples of these apps are facebook, twitter, google, amazon etc.

Decentralized apps on the other hand are built based on the Blockchain technology with no single command. Most people have focused the idea of the block chain technology relating to digital currencies alone but in real fact, its application can be stretched far and wide hence even in digital applications. Dapps are applications that run on decentralized computer systems. Due to this, restrictions are not allowed as every user is given freedom and control over their data.

Dapps are basically the opposite of the centralized apps and solve all the problems with the centralized apps. They can’t be shut down, it has no downtime, have stronger security, and has no owner, hence the question.

Will DApps be able to replace centralized applications in other fields in the future?

My answer is yes, dapps can possibly replace centralized applications in the future. The only reason that it hasn’t already happened is due to people’s dependence on centralized apps and their ignorance of decentralized applications but with time the ideology would spread wide and far. Dapps comes with certain benefits which cannot be found in centralized apps such as:

• It can provide income for users; with digital currencies

• It has no central authority

• Since it uses a block chain technology, security breach is most likely impossible and a million times stronger than that of a centralized app

• Users are in control of their data

• Enables the use of DeFi; Because of the use of the blockchain technology, users of dapps can use DeFi which is a new financial ecosystem without any third party control and it runs on trusted and distributed networks. With DeFi, any one can access a wide range of financial products or services from anywhere in the world which reduces barriers in accessing and using financial services.

Is there a possibility for dapps to steal user data

No it’s absolutely impossible so long as it runs on a decentralized system which makes it what it is. The original designer can’t even gain access to users data on the app as dapps uses smart contract blockchain system. Every data is stored on a block which has encoded hash’s and so to gain access to a particular data would mean changing all the codes on multiple blocks which multiplies with every users activities going on creating thousands and million more. Due to its wides spread reach only users have access to their data and can choose to reveal it or not which of course is wrong.

How dapp promotes its application to the public

Ofcourse for dapp to boost its popularity and over take centralized apps people must come to recognize it more so how is dapp promoted. Well there are different ways by which it can and ill be exploring a few

• Initial coin offering; ICOs are mostly used to raise money for creating new products or services usually within cryptocurrencies and block chain technology and hence decentralized apps. Its for fundraising and investors can buy what ever is presented on the market and receive their shares. The investors are hopeful on high returns as the value increase

• Dapp radar- founded in 2018, dapp radar provides information and data on all existing decentralized apps. You can easily search for the most popular games, sites, apps etc. It makes search for dapp information easier. It doesn’t give recommendations but makes its easy for users to access datas they need. It specializes in the following namely; Dapps, Blockchain, Crypto, Data, Analytics, Marketplace, Games, Dapp, Decentralised Applications, Decentralised Finance, FinTech, and Data Analysis & Reports

• Centralized social media- due to the popularity which most centralized social media has amassed, you can promote a decentralized app on the platform as its not against their rules. Apps such as facebook, Instagram, twitter etc would help in promoting a dapp

• Popup ads- marketing strategies are very wide especially in digital marketing. Some of the ways most companies increase their standings are through pop up ads. Google provides such services and its reach is also wide as most apps use their google admob and Adsense as an extra source fo income by having their users click on ads both on websites and apps.

Choose a DApp and do a detailed analysis that proves that the DApp is a good one to use.(Provide proof with screenshot).

Well there are a lot of dapp’s out there ranging from tor, pancake-swap,crypto blades etc but today i will be talking about the one I’m already familiar with to a great extent “STeemit”. You can create an account in which youll be given your various keys. These keys are your passwords and like i explained earlier Dapps cant be gotten into or hacked but even at that you must be careful with your private keys because if it gets into wrong hands your account can be compromised.

You can as well use the search option to check out other users.

The dapp comes with its own wallet for quick and free transactions within and outside the app. Your rewards are stored in your wallets as your redeem them. The growth of your steem power shows your prominence within the app so it’s advisable not to power down.

Lastly steemit is just about having fun and getting paid for having fun. You can post about anything at all and presented in the right format,you can get curated and upvoted a lot

If i was to create a dapp i would create an app for music and i would call it REXify.

I always envisioned having something like this especially since im a lover pf music and have always wanted to be a singer since i was young. Most people don’t have free access to quality musical contents for example iTunes, Spotify etc requires users to pay to subscribe although with a free trial. But what if we had a music app which worked with a blockchain network and you could still earn for just posting your music on the platform.

This would help especially upcoming artists whose works are over looked and they just spend and earn nothing for the hardwork they put into a song.

I had my inspiration from steemit and if a social media website where posts are voted on to earn and certain crypto are in circulation then why cant we make one where musics can be posted and liked or voted on and earn with crypto in circulation.

Some features would also be a page for producers who wish to advertise their beat for free and artists who wish to use it can purchase it with the crypto they’ve earned from their musics of course depending on the producers choice giving them license over the beat.

There would be public chat rooms for people to talk about latest music trends which would pop up on the homepage every now and then. I don’t have all the ropes for the apps yet but I believe it would be one hell of an invention and with the right resources and financial backing i can make it happen.

The blockchain technology has been used vastly in most areas of the internet and hence the introduction of dapps. Decentralized apps have proven to have an edge over centralized apps although it hasn’t captured alot of interests due to its publicity .

I believe it is the future it would overshadow centralized apps as people would be interested in getting in on the catch. More dapps should be developed and hence innovative minds are required so as to build the basics of decentralized apps.
