BREAKING NEWS: Disneyland Shuts 35 Rides After Small California Earthquake

Numerous rides had to close due to a little earthquake that occurred on Monday near Disneyland, leaving guests with nothing to do as staff carried out necessary safety procedures before the rides were reopened.

At least 35 rides had to be temporarily closed due to an earthquake that occurred in Fullerton, which is located around 2 miles north of Disneyland.

"It seemed to be directly beneath our table during Jolly Holiday," Shanna Fogelman said on Instagram. "More than you would imagine, shook things up."

Fullerton was the epicenter of Monday's 3.5-magnitude earthquake, which was reported by the U.S. Geological Survey at 8:10 p.m. A little aftershock occurred about 8:30 p.m.

Disney California Adventure and Disneyland both reported no initial damage.

MiceChat wrote on Instagram, "While damage is extremely unlikely, guests will experience some inconvenience while rides are inspected."

The Disneyland app states that as of Monday night at nine o'clock in the evening, most of the attractions at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure were temporarily closed.

All attractions at California Adventure were closed, with the exception of Mickey's Philharmonic, Luigi's Joy to the Whirl, Mater's Jingle Jamboree, and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. At Disneyland, only the Mad Tea Party and the Jungle Cruise were operating.

Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Pirates of the Caribbean, Rise of the Resistance, Space Mountain, the holiday edition of It's a Small World, and the brand-new Adventureland Treehouse were among the rides that Disneyland temporarily closed.

Radiator Springs Racers, Web Slingers, Toy Story Midway Mania, Soarin' Around the World, and the Incredicoaster were among the Disney California Adventure attractions that were closed.

Photographer Elise Delamare from Napa stated on Instagram, "All rides are down, all lines are closed, and they are telling us after safety protocols are passed they'll open them back up."

As a precautionary measure, workers from DCA and Disneyland evacuated a few rides, according to posts on social media.

"We had to leave the Haunted Mansion," Vivs Candyland said on Instagram.
