PoB- Proof of Brain

In steem block chain, there is a distinct prepared algorithm to generate tokens but not as the PoW where the token are being generated by the performance of miners. There shall be a way to distribute the tokens among the relevant parties such that content creators and curators, witnesses & vested token holders.

According to the STEEM blue paper, 75% of total tokens has been allocated for reward poolwhich is pooled with content creators and curators.

Then what is the algorithm for sharing the tokens among them?

There should be a mechanism to share the tokens among them. The so called mechanism is based on the Steem Power & the content quality which is defined by the curators themselves while voting. Users will get the token based on the content quality & voting strength ( Voting power & Steem power) of curators. This mechanism of sharing tokens among reward pool is Proof of Brain (PoB).

Curation means in steem block chain

In my point of view, the curators are the ones who drive the steem platform in a right way because they are the decision makers in dividing the tokens. Steemit contents should be valuable, meaningful & attractive to grab more users on it. So the curators shall filter the good & bad contents and curate fair votes to motivate the good content writers and also to demotivate the bad content writers. The tool is given to them is UPVOTE & DOWNVOTE.

Curation value will depend on the Curator’s SP amount and his voting power. The voting power is a function of time which is used to limit the votings in order to make this platform a better place.

Benefits of building SP

The PoB mechanism is based on the SP. So the SP is the leading role in voting power, means the sharing of tokens. There are so many benefits of building SP.

1. In the sake of the existence of this ecosystem as well as Steemit, STEEM shall not be transferred out because transferring STEEM out means lesser available SP in the Steemit platform which cause to reduce the voting value. This leads to get lesser votes to creators than they deserved. This may lead to collapse the platform in little by little.

2. Building SP by our own will make us to get some curation tokens too. (While vote on others post)

3. We can delegate SP on whales because the voting value is a positive acceleration increasing function with respect to the increasing of SP (Not linear). So more benefits can be smelled with delegating of SP.

Finally according to the algorithm, the pre defined number of tokens is generated and we shall try to keep these all tokens within the platform in SP for a better future.

Explanation of Self Upvote

As I mentioned earlier, curators shall be fair enough to filter the good and bad contents. And also the content writers shall not judged their article themselves because it is just like being both the examiner and the candidate by one.

The published article shall be non plagiarized and shall be in good quality. So the letting others to writers performance is the best and smart action for the sake of the Steemit platform. Otherwise the mechanism of PoB will not work properly as they wish.

Different tokens earn in Steemit Platform

The followings are the tokens released from Steemit platform.

1. STEEM
2. SBD (Steem Blockchain Dollar)
3. TRON
4. SP (Steem Power)

STEEM : This is the main tradable token in Steemit platform. Curators and writers get the STEEM by trading the received SBD to STEEM.

SBD: Steem Blockchain Dolar is another cryptocurrency in Steemit. It is a liquid stable-value currency tokens. SBD can be earned by good quality contents in Steemit platform.

TRON: TRON is a crypto currency based on decentralized blockchain. Steemit has been joined with TRON ecosystem. So users will receive same number of TRON as SP for each contents.

SP: Steem Power (SP) is the leading token in defining vote values. SP is received from the votes of the curators on the quality contents. Or else SP can be generated by powering up the STEEM at 1:1 ratio.
