RE: Basic trading strategy using the Harmonic AB = CD + Fibonacci pattern-Crypto Academy / S4W2 - Homework position for [@lenonmc21]

Greetings @sandrakez

  • First: In the grading parameters, it clearly says Originality and Presentation, so, the grading not only takes into account the topic and how you develop it, but also the effort you put in formatting your post with Markdown to make it of high quality. That separator was not made by you, therefore you have points less, since there is no originality using it. If other teachers do not take it into account in their classes, I do consider it in my classes.

  • Second: In your definition of Harmonic trading, you commented the following: Whatever happens in the past is likely to happen in the future. The definition of harmonic trading has nothing to do with what happens in the past, it has to do with what happens in the present while the price develops, so, it is that in the market nothing happens by chance and that the price and its movements have harmony and confluence, so that in an uptrend, always the impulses and setbacks are composed of cycles, cycles that most of the time have the same or similar size and that make up a price structure.

  • Third: The pattern AB=CD, has nothing to do with how long a movement lasts, it is only that it is composed of 4 points that are divided into 2 impulses and a pullback, where, first there is an impulse, then comes a pullback in the opposite direction to the dominant trend and then the last impulse of equal or similar size to the first, so it is called AB=CD. On the other hand, on how to identify it, point D must be between the ranges of the Fibonacci retracement composed by 127.2% and 161.8%, of the retracement composed by BC, which you did not mention for both directions.

  • Fourth: In the criteria you also did not mention in which part of the pattern the D point is measured, which is very important because we are talking about a strategy that involves risks, if not explained clearly and in detail so that the pattern has the best chance of success.

  • Fifth: In practice, my screen is at 100% zoom and a clear graph, the Fibonacci levels are observed without problems as I shared in my class, unfortunately in yours no level is clearly seen, because you did not perform the corresponding zoom. In addition, the simulation of the entry was placed very far from where the price was, so the risk benefit ratio can not be clearly seen. The second example is clearer, but the impulse that is measured from A to B is badly traced, you must take into account the wicks of the candle and you did not do it and the measurement of BC, is badly traced, because you connected from B to A and this is wrong is from B to C and it is clearly seen.

For all these reasons that I summarized in your qualification in the first instance, you have the qualification you have. So you should try harder.

Last but not least, I found in your publication some paragraphs copied from the investopedia page. So I think I was quite generous because I could have marked you for plagiarism, but I considered it too little, to give you another chance to do better in a next assignment. No grade is placed randomly, I check everything thoroughly.

Alright professor, I just needed to know where I faulted.
Thank you for the clarification. I have taken into account all your corrections.

I hope to try harder for a better result next time
