March 12th, 2022 was the deadline for Week 3 of Season 6 to accept your homework, I want to thank the 43 students who tried and worked hard this week submitting their essays to complete the assignment and get the best grades.

This week we introduced the TRIX indicator which is a technical analysis tool for charts that allows you to identify when the market is oversold or overbought. It is also often used as a momentum indicator, although it was not originally intended for this role.

The name "TRIX" is not the formal term usually used to designate this instrument. The original name is "Triple Exponential Average", and was devised by the famous financial analyst Jack Hutson. As the publisher of some major academic financial journals, the indicator has gradually acquired international renown.

There are several reasons to know how the TRIX indicator works. Most notable is the dual nature of this tool, which can be used both to judge the price trend and to identify the life phase of the current trend. Few technical analysis tools can play both roles.

I hope all users who have researched this week will benefit from the set of information and analysis provided to determine how much of an asset that typically moves in a given time period to set profit goals and decide whether or not to try to negotiate.

Discuss in your own words Trix as a trading indicator and how it works.

The basis of this indicator are the exponential moving averages (EMA). The line expresses the change of a triple EMA, that is, of an exponential average calculated from an exponential average calculated on another exponential moving average.

Although the definition of the operation of the TRIX indicator is quite complex, in daily practice it is a flexible tool and at the same time easy to interpret. One of its main objectives is precisely to filter the background noise present on the chart, in order to help traders in the interpretation of candlestick patterns.

To explain the usefulness of this indicator, it is interesting to compare it to some of the other better known technical analysis tools. We can say that on the one hand, like exponential moving averages, it has the task of smoothing out individual price movements; as a stochastic oscillator, it signals the moments of overbought and oversold; finally, as a momentum indicator it helps to study the current trends to understand if they are destined to stop shortly or to continue beyond.

These features help it to be a synthetic oscillator, which in a single reading provides the trader with more indications. However, it clearly has its limits in the ability to predict price trends, which is why it is always useful to accompany it with other tools to create a complete trading strategy. In this way the signals obtained are more precise.

Based on the use of the Trix indicator, how can one predict whether the trend will be bullish or bearish and determine the buy/sell points in the short term and show its limits in the medium and long term.

Many analysts suggest using the TRIX trading indicator in this way:

1. When the TRIX crosses the zero line and goes above it gives a buy signal
2. When the TRIX crosses the zero line and goes below it gives a sell signal

Indeed, looking at the examples given, we see that immediately after or shortly after these crossings, prices continue to follow the upward or downward trend.

However, we don't like this approach because under certain circumstances it can lead to a lot of false signals.
Normally, the starting point for using this indicator is the 1D chart. Rather than being designed for scalping or intraday trading, it is actually a useful tool in swing trading. The goal is to intercept market movements, especially in stocks, that may occur over the next 15-30 days. However, it can also be successfully used on the 4H chart, slightly shortening the time horizon of the position.

Interpret how the combination of zero line cutoff and divergences makes Trix operationally very strong.

The Divergence Trix is the best way to spot a possible change in direction in advance. You can notice this behavior on the chart when the Trix differs from the price movement.

Divergence example: When the Trix has lower price spikes, this erratic trend signal could mean it is weaker or less prone to reversal. Conversely, when Trix makes higher lows and price makes lower lows. This could be a bullish reversal signal.

The third week of Season 6, which ran from March 5 to March 12, 2021, saw a 22% decrease in admissions compared to the first week despite the terms of this season being changed to incentivize users to increase their reputation and influence for the benefit of the platform and users.

We note a stability in the percentage of articles with excellent content, which represents 19% of the total writing (18% the first week), with a strong decrease in the percentage of articles with good content reaching 35% (62% the first week), on the other hand articles with average and acceptable content reached 32% instead of 7% the previous week.

Which gives a percentage of assignments passed with an overall positive vote has exceeded 86% (same figure as the week before) against 9% who did not obtain a score higher than the average, and if it must be said, the seriousness with which students get what is asked of them and their desire to learn and do their best to obtain the best score and the best results.
