We can in a way compare CFD to spread betting because we predict the movement of the price of an asset in crpto if it will rise or fall, being able to know when to enter a position and exist to take profit that is.

There is a difference between them, especially in dealing with taxes. Betting is not subject to a capital gains tax, while trading in contracts for the difference requires paying this tax.
