1). Explain in your own words what an IEO is.

IEO also known as Initial Exchange Offering is the type of auctioning that helps teams who are working on a particular project to raise money for that project through the sale of the project token to early investors and this is seen as a good investment because when the particular project token is launch the early investors can now sell the tokens for profit because when a token is launched it normally pumps that is if that project is a legit project and not a scam.

There is also an ICO and it is sometimes hard to differentiate ICO from IEO but the difference is that IEO are 100% centralized, as the name implies IEO are carried out in crypto exchanges like Binance, crypto.com, poloniex ETC.

2). Do you consider IEOs an advantageous way to make an investment? Explain.

To explain this better i am going to give to reasons why IEOs are good investments.

• The first reason is that you can double or triple your investment because if you participate in a project IEO and that project successfully launch their project token the token is now available for sale and if it is a good project or there is hype around the project that project token could do a 10x or 20x because investors who couldn't afford the IEO will now be the ones trading the token.

• The second reason is that an IEOs are very safe investment method because before a crypto project carry out an IEO on a particular exchange, the crypto exchange team normally analyze the project to make sure it is not a scammer pretending just to scam investors.

3). List advantages and disadvantages of participating in an IEO.

Clearly everything that has an advantage has a disadvantage that is why it is smart to always be objective about anything anyway let me list the advantage and disadvantage of an IEO.

Advantages

• Profits are made if an investor participate in an IEO

• IEOs are safe to invest in because before any exchange lists a project the exchange normally analyze the project so that they don't list a scammer project.

• They clearly give the possibility to participate or at least bet on a project before its launch, this gives the investor ease and security.

Disadvantages

• IEOs don't always give profit to early investors meaning it is not all the time that a crypto project is launched in an exchange that it pumps.

• The crypto market or any other market that you know of is linked to the emotions of their investors, that is why participating in an IEO is risky because the price of the crypto project could down instead of up.

• Not every investor can participate in an IEO because IEOs are for rich investors and for everyone.

4). Explain how to participate in an IEO, for the process explore various exchanges, choose one of them and explain the process.

To participate in IEO a user must complete the KYC of that exchange after that it's time to check the cryptocurrency you can use to contribute in the IEO.

The exchange that i am going to be explaining this with is huobi and the project which is about to be launched on huobi is known as Gamepad.

What is the GMPD token, this is the token of Gamepad which is a decentralized initial gaming offer (IGO) platform aiming to provide help for blockchain based games project, it is going to be raising liquidity for blockchain games

Gamepad is having it's IEO in Huobi global and it ends on the 21st of December when the token is getting listed on huobi global.

How to particpate
To participate the user must first register his or her account in huobi and then wait until his or her account is verified.

Then user must reach a trading volume of 200 usdt in this crypto pairs USDT/HUSD, PAX/HUSD, USDC/HUSD, USDC/USDT, TUSD/HUSD, DAI/USDT, TUSD/USDT, PAX/USDT and DAI/HUSD within 10 [UTC] on December 17 till 9 [UTC] December 21 just to be eligible to participate.

To participate the user must then hold atleast 50 usdt in their huobi account, the 50 usdt will then be automatically locked then from 11 [UTC] to 12 [UTC] on 21 December the system will automatically execute the purchase process with the maximum amount of usdt as shown in the table below and then allocate the new tokens to the participants on a pro rate basis.

BitTorrent IEO:
This IEO was carried out in the Binance exhange in January 2019, the IEO help BitTorrent raise US$ 7.2 million, BitTorrent is the token for Torrent which is a file sharing platform.
