Remember when a friend or family asked for your opinion about getting a particular product and you recommended to the person

to go for product A and not B telling him or her the benefits and features of the products and why it is better than product B?

For example a friend of yours that just entered University is asking you about the

canteen she can go to have a fast food, and you then recommended to her that ITem 7 or Iya Yusuf is the best restaurants,

Then your friends starts to buy food from item7 or Iya Yusuf through your recommendation that's Affiliate Marketing.

Recommending a particular product you didn't create to those that are in need of it..

Or your friends asked for your opinion about a car he wants to buy and you told him to

buy Benz because of so and so benefit and features and the comfort and prestige that comes with Benz cars and your friends

decided to buy Benz from your recommendation that's also Affiliate Marketing, finish....

Or another example is those real estate properties sellers that tell you to buy land from them and get this bag of rice or cement

and all, those advertising that land to you are not the owner of the land o they are affiliate marketers recommending that land to you, so once you agree to buy the land

from the advert they will sell the land to you, give the Baba olowo that owns the land his share, the real estate company will get their

share, you that brought the deal/customer ( i.e Affiliate Marketer will get your own commission)

I once did this when one Umm called that she wants to sell a property worth 5m and

anyone that brings a buyer will get 100k as commission, Immediately i told her not the Send that message to anyone again..

I called Mallam Bashir Yusuf the CEO of Estate code Nigerian limited and told him about the land and boom💥 I am even

getting more than the 100k she was given for just recommending the product, once the property is sold I will get my own

So everyone of us are into the Affiliate Marketing business already but we don't just

get paid commissions when we recommend some kind of products to our friends or families.....

There are e- commerce website like Jumia, Konga, Alibaba, Amazon, Airbnb that use the

the Affiliate Marketing business model to sell their products.

Meaning Jumia for example has it Affiliate Marketing program where it recruits Affiliate Marketers as middle men taking their

products to those that need them by driving traffic to the product -running Paid ads or through organic trafficking..

You see all this E- commerce website even ShopRite they all sell products they didn't

produce themselves they also Bought those products from a particular manufacturer and they add their business labels to it, ShopRite

is not the one creating the chocolate or sandine you buy from there na Abi?

But you will still collect it ShopRite chocolate because of the feelings of shopping in a big

supermarket, Toh Akram kumbe

So to increase their sales and sell faster they get affiliate marketers on their company, give them their products and pay them

commission on every sale they make from promoting or advertising that product

For example if you are an affiliate Marketer for Jumia and you pick a product like school

bags to advertise, let say the bag is
₦10,000,. A high quality Jumia back pack Ni oooo Toh..

Then you started advertising those Backs to university students maybe through your

WhatsApp status or Facebook market place or any other traffic sources out there and you

use them to advertise the product by writing sales copies and all..sha

And for every bag you sell you get 50% sales commission, if you are able to get 1 person

to buy from you that's 5k in your account and if you are able to get just 1 person to buy from you every day that's 5k everyday for 30

days which is 150k for you in a month, a PhD holder salary in Nigeria University ooo..

Let's say you get 2 students to buy from you everyday just 2 people and you get 2 peopl

everyday that's 300k, almost a Nigerian

professor salary... They get paid 300k - 400 per month with hard labour which you won't be doing....

And commission varies on different affiliate Programms some pay you 30-70% commission some pay 20% -80% commission
