I am so glad for the opportunity given to us by the steemit team to air our views on how rewarding the cryptoacademy has been to us and what can be done to improve the academy.

In my life as a student, never have I seen an academy where students learn and get paid except for the Steemit Cryptoacademy. The academy is dedicated to eradicating the crypto illiteracy and imparting quality knowledge to every steemian about Cryptocurrency. I really want to say a big thank you to the steemit team for this great previledge given to us steemians.

From my own perspective, I feel there is something missing in the academy. That thing is the standard the academy started with. I feel the standard has dissipated.

In the season 1 and season 2 of SCA, I noticed the energy and the passion the SCA professors had for the academy. They used to give lessons happily, knowing that the rewards they get was juicy and worth the stress of spending nights to make research just to teach their students and also the stress of spending sleepless nights to mark the homework posts of students. But lately, the just concluded season in particular, I noticed that the professors intentionally twist the homework they gave so that so many students won't participate, so they'll have less posts to grade. I feel that's because the reward given to them is no more worth the stress. Most of them even became aggressive with their students, just because most times they're always so stressed and they get upset seeing the reward they get. I am a stronger believer that money is a great motivation. If these professors are treated well with good upvotes, they will definitely be giving their very best to their job.

I feel if the academy had set a standard in previous seasons, the standard should have rather been receiving some revamp rather than deteriorating. Imagine when a professor spends good hours to lecture and also grade the homework posts, but the reward given to him is lesser than the reward given to someone who spent 30 minutes to make diary game post. I feel that's just not a good reward structure. The professors should be rewarded pretty well, just like how the professors of the season 1 and season 2 used to be rewarded. The professors then were always teaching with joy and they enjoyed their work. Therefore, I humbly plead that the standard which the academy started with should come back to stay. If the professors were always given $200 upvote for example, it should be maintained or increased in the next season rather than reduced to $51 upvote. The happiness of the professors matters.

I realized that the cryptoacademy is the only community where every common steemian can use to grow their sp. But in the just concluded season, so many persons stopped posting in the academy. Because someone spending 20 to 30 minutes to write diary game post stands a chance to get more reward than someone who spent two days to do one homework post. So most people gave up on the academy and became so dedicated to writing diary game posts.

SC02 most times run short of voting RC, leaving most posts which end up missing being curated, which if the work was shared between sc01 and sc02 as it used to be done in some seasons back then, the rate of posts paying out without being curated would have been curtailed.

The rules of the academy becomes tighter by season. Each new season comes with tight rules but the reward structure still remains the same or lesser. I feel it should be that if the rules are tightened, the reward structure for the academians should also be made juicy so that the rules will be embraced with all amount of alacrity.

From season 1 of SCA till the just concluded season, it has always been SC02 doing the curation while SC01 is out curating diary game posts. I would love to suggest if it pleases the steemit team, let SC02 be the one doing the diary game curation while SC01 remain constantly in the academy, curating the homework posts because the energy deployed in completing one homework task can never be compared to the energy used in writing diary game post. The active posters of the academy has reduced drastically because diary game posts seems to be attracting better rewards than Academy homework posts, which in my opinion is not fair.

I will love to appreciate Prof. @sapwood for all the hard work he's been doing in the academy. Compilation of all the datas from the academy accurately is not an easy task. He's been doing a great job but in the just concluded season, because he wasn't able to meet up with the club5050 requirements, his posts were ignored. I believe that the being behind that SC01 account is a human being and have a heart. Should all the energy @sapwood has put to keep the academy active be forgotten because he couldn't meet up with club5050 requirements? Why should bad days be given priority over good days? Why can't the professors also have an upvote grading scale where if they don't meet up with club5050, they just miss the upvote for club5050 but still get upvoted for their hardwood of delivering the lecture post. These professors are also humans, they have needs too and most of them have families they take care of. Infact, some of them are taking this steemit as a full time job and they deserve some fair treatment.

I believe that our feedback matters a lot to the steemit team and I believe they'll pay attention to our worries and try out some new strategies suggested by us so the platform remains the decentralized home we all used to know it to be.

I do not wish that the SCA stop functioning for any reason because as earlier stated, this community is the only community for a common steemian to grow his or her SP. Therefore, I wish nothing but the best to all of us in the Academy.

Thank you for having me.
I am @davosimple reporting.
