Steemit Crypto Academy | Summary for Season 3 Week 2 | The Genesis Block
The 2nd week of Season 3 has come to an end. From the 4th of July to the 10th of July, there was a total of 220 entries on the tag #awesononso-s3week2. As you can see, the volume was a lot so I had to be careful while handling the tasks.
In the lesson, we went back in time to learn about the Genesis Block concept and its significance. It was a simple lesson, so to say, and we can attribute the engagement to that.
On the Lesson we learnt about;
- The Genesis Block concept
- The Bitcoin Genesis Block and its significances
- The Ethereum Genesis Block
- The Steem Genesis Block
Observations and Suggestions
At the beginning of the week, I expected to see a lot of good entries. However, the fact that the course seemed simple made a number of students put a low amount of effort in the tasks. Below are some areas I would like to talk about:
Thoroughness: In a simple topic like this it is always important to cover all the aspects carefully. The images are very necessary if the topic is to be explored properly. Leaving any information out would affect the general presentation of the work.
Originality: We give marks for originality to see how much the student understands the topic. Some students do research and try to paraphrase from different sources. This situation is always clear and real knowledge always stands out. The students that really try to understand the topic always score the best in the end.
Ambiguity: I would always advise the students to go straight to the point and avoid lengthy paragraphs. Not only can lengthy paragraphs be daunting to the reader but they can be repetitive of some concepts.
Relevance: It is good to do research always. But research should be filtered in its course according to relevance. Introducing irrelevant concepts to the task only causes deviation from the topic and no matter how good the content, the students will score low. Irrelevant points affect originality as this criteria is based on your ability to produce relevant content on your own.
Creativity and Simplicity: Students need to learn to let go, so to say. There is a lot of formality in the tasks and this really is not helpful. An informal and creative tone keeps the reader engaged. Also, it makes the student confident and comfortable.

Hello professor looks like i have tried so much to give you
reasons beyond doubt that my work was not plagiarized but looks it looks like you don't want to give me the needed attention. I know how this community fronds against plagiarism so i wouldn't stoop so low to ruin my reputation.
I'm not concerned about you doing your work but please skim through my replies and reanalyze both posts before coming out with a just justification.
I would be glad if you revisit the work. I have proven my point. I'm much concerned about my reputation on this great platform.

I'm happy to give you the benefit of any doubt (and have removed the notification) - @awesononso, please can you review @bibsonhabib's concerns when you have time?
hello professor @awesononso First of all, thank you very much for your evaluation and for choosing my post among the best posts. I had a question, I hope you don't misunderstand. Last season, our homework posts were voted on by @steemcurator02. Then, if our post was selected among the best posts, vote support was provided by steemcurator01 again. The best assignments this season are only supported by @steemcurator01?
Hello.
@steemcurator02 is voting posts chronologically by date. When it gets to your turn you will be voted.
Hope you understand?
Thank you for your interest, professor. That was exactly the answer to my question. I wish you a good day.
