For those who weren't able to participate, we hope to see you in the next season. Thanks to the Steemit Team for organizing an enabling environment for users to learn more about the crypto world.

What I Noticed

We have come to know an underrated indicator (random index) as its predecessor (stochastic oscillator) seems to be the only one in the limelight.

The 116 entries reviewed took the increase in participation to 70.6% more than the preceding period. We have achieved this fit mostly by reducing the level of practical exercises. The increase in participation level further substantiates the claim that most participants prefer theoretical courses or practical ones.

At this rate of participation, it is common to see a fall in originality and a rise in plagiarism. Ironically, only a case of plagiarism was spotted. That's less than a 1% plagiarism rate. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort of all those who honestly participated in the course. We thank you all for your hard work and determination.

The 99.14% number of unique entries deserves a mention. Even so, we look forward to the new season with the goal of achieving 100% unique content.

Remarks

During the period under review, participants displayed their understanding of random index and how to spot trend reversals with the crossovers or interception of the KDJ lines. The random index (KDJ indicator) bedazzled us with some notably quick signals.

Furthermore, participants were also able to identify the differences between the KDJ indicator, the average true range (ATR), and the average directional index (ADX).

Average Score

The scatter plot below reveals a slight decrease in the average score of submissions:

The simple average score for submissions on #asaj-s3week8 tag stands at 6.72

The average score of participants rose by 8.56% when compared to the previous time. Good to see that the average score still remains within the safe zone.

Quick Recap

Here's a quick recap of how the participants were assessed:

  • In your own words define the random index and explain how it is calculated

  • Is the random index reliable? Explain

  • How is the random index added to a chart and what are the recommended parameters? (Screenshot required)

  • Differences between KDJ, ADX, and ATR

  • Use the signals of the random index to buy and sell any two cryptocurrencies. (Screenshot required)

In the homework post the random index (KDJ) was explained alongside how it works, its configuration, buy and sell signal. It was observed that the vast majority of participants completed the tasks.

Homework Statistics (S03 • W08)

Let us take a quick look at how they are categorized, after which we will analyse the statistics of submissions.

Quality Scale

The homework task is grouped using the following scale:

  • Distinction: 8 to 10
  • Good: 6.6 to 7.9
  • Average: 5 to 6.5
  • Below Average: 0 to 4.9

With that in mind, let's analyse the grades of entries.

Grade Analysis

Of the 116 entries, 38 participants made a distinction, 25 did a good job, 42 had an average performance, 10 did below average, and a plagiarism case was reported. Here is a bar chart that depicts this information:

Furthermore, the doughnut chart below presents the data in percentage.

Post of the Week

Selecting three articles out of the numerous quality submissions was by no means as simple as it seems. It took some Remember the academy promotes healthy competition that seeks to improve the quality of participation.

Note: So long as you participated in the assignment you are a winner. Maybe not today, but someday you will be. We hope this encourages you to work harder in order to earn a spot in the post of the week. After much contemplation, here are the homework posts of the week (August 16th to 21st):

Bronze
Homework Post by @kwadjobonsu
Presented ideas in a clear and understandable manner. Explanations were logical and he clearly did some research. His deductive reasoning on random index reliability is convincing.

We had a good time reading all your quality content and it is a pleasure to share our knowledge in the Crypto Academy. We look forward to seeing all your quality posts in the coming weeks.

Final Words

At the end of the day, it isn’t all about what you know but how well you express yourself. The mode of delivery is just as important as the knowledge you choose to deliver. Using complicated words often does not yield the best results. The primary purpose of communication is to express, not impress.

Hence, we encourage you to organize your work in a logical format and use simple terms to express yourself. You do not have to copy anyone. Be yourself! Don’t say that because one user answered a question in a certain way so you must do the same. No! Be yourself and your work will stand out.

We are building a community that fosters engagement through educative content. Like every successful community, it takes collective effort and cooperation. Remember that no one is perfect, we all need correction (myself included) to become better. So let us learn together.
