1. How do you store/secure your keys?

The people who attached with the blockchain and wallets, are familiar with the importance of private keys and wallet security. When we create a wallet, it consists of different types of keys. These keys are for accessing our wallet and restore our wallet.
Different people use different techniques and method to store and secure the key. I store and secure the by write it down on my password book physically. In this physical method there is no chance of hacking. No one can steal your keys online because these keys are store on physical medium.

2. What are the different forms of Private Key(Examples/Screenshot)?

There are three types of Private key as we leaned in the lecture. We will discuss one by one.

  • Private Key

This is type of key that is created randomly by using the cryptographic functions. This is consisting of Alphanumeric Characters. Using this key, we can access and unlock our wallet and perform activities in wallet.

  • Mnemonic Key

It is also a type of private key. In this type keys are in the form of phrases that are called Mnemonic phrases. We easily understand, read and memorize. Generally, there are 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 phrases in the mnemonic key.
Using this key, we can restore and reset our wallet password. When enter mnemonic key, here we make sure that entering phrases are in the correct order. If the order of these keys are not matches then we are not able to restore our wallet.
Examples:

  • Keystroke File

Keystroke File is also a type private key. In this key file code is written in the JavaScript Object Notation form. This keystroke file itself is not only a private key. When we create a wallet then we choose keystroke as private. Next, we enter the password. This password and Keystroke File both together formed a private key.
