Even if I would like to dismiss it as a story from the distant past or foreign lands: domestic violence is and remains a problem here and everywhere. I worked as a volunteer for a women's refuge for a while about 20 years ago and experienced strong, independent and intelligent women who left their personalities on their doorstep and became punching bags. They were beaten and abused and eventually found their way to us - only to return to their abusive husband a short time later or turn to someone who was just as abusive.
In my view, patience has nothing to do with enduring in this sense...

Como bien dices, este debería ser un tema del pasado. Pero no lo es. Cada día aumentan más las tasas de feminicidio en el mundo. Y esto es preocupante. Creo que las madres, cuidadoras de niños y la sociedad entera debemos revisar qué no estamos haciendo bien con respecto a la crianza de los niños y las niñas. Un abrazo, querida.
